  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Theres always the classic live Pink Floyd. There are so many versions nowadays with Waters and Gilmor split and having their own versions of the Floyd throughout the years.

My favorite is 'Pulse' with Gilmore. But I also like Rogers stuff when he built the giant wall on stage and his recent live concerts in Mexico and Spain which had a modern take.

I was looking for some Canned Heat live. The Woodstock live is good but I found this one that is more interesting. Canned Heat are playing on some show like the Saturday Night live shows they use to have.

The social aspect is more interesting than the music. How they are dancing and talking. I think this was in the later 60s and early 70s with the blues Jazz clubs. They are all cool and groovy man lol.

Canned heat really get everyone dancing. Great insight into the culture of that time.

I was looking for some Aussie live music as I remember we had a pretty thriving live music scene in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Then I came across what is probably one of Australia's greatest live performances. An iconic moment in Aussie music. It brought back memories as I was there lol.

They had a outdoor music concert like you have at say Woodstock or Glastonbury. I think from memory they did this for a few years until something happened. But they were the days when you could hold a massive festival without too much problems.

Stevie Wright was making a comeback performance. He had previously been in rehab and missing from the scene after massive success with the Easy Beats. They were Australias version of the rock bands of the 60s and 70s like the Stones and Beatles. Bowie recorded one of their songs 'Friday on my mind'.

Stevie went solo after the Easy Beats and had a big hit with the song 'Evie'. Which is an epic 3 part song and each part was a hit in itself. Any its long so you can skip through to get the gist. Part 3 which starts about 8.20 min is the crescendo.

The backdrop is amazing with Sydney harbour bridge and boats sailing by. Classic Aussie music on the steps of one of the worlds most iconic Opera houses on a sunny Sunday arvo in Sydney harbour. Bring those days back. My wife brags that she use to see the KInks or Stones in central Park or Bowie and Elton at some pub lol. But theres nothin like raw Aussie music.
