  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, y'all! Just wanted to share this video I made about my experience over Labor Day weekend in New York City sharing and preaching the Gospel around different areas of the city and at the U.S. Open. Hope it's an encouragement to you!

That was really interesting David. Thanks for sharing. Praise God for the donor! It sounds like your group was really well organised. I agree with you about prayer. We all need to do it, but do you have a prayer team who pray for your ministry?

My pleasure! So, we all prayed while there and leading up to the event, and then I know people from my local evangelism group and others from my church were praying (I'm sure others from the NYC group had people praying for them, too).

And, when I do local evangelism, we always pray before and after, and then one of our sisters stays behind and prayers while we evangelize. :)

That's great! Prayer makes a massive difference. Also you guys are doing the work on the street. It's good to know that others are supporting you in prayer.

Amen to that! Definitely always need prayer. Just like we'll be at a witchcraft/psychic fair this Saturday to evangelize and need all the prayer we can get!

Gosh, yes! Praying for Divine mental, emotional, spiritual and physical protection for you all, as well as for safe journeys. Also against any Satanic attack beforehand to try to stop you going. Praying for the right words to say and signs to use; for people to listen to your message and for the Holy Spirit to convince them of the truth of the Gospel. For them to be released from their bondage to these evil things and to repent and come into the Kingdom.

God bless you and the team! Are you going to put a request on the prayer wall?

Prayer is very important, and prayer groups are great too. But for those in the prayer group, yes, pray. But also make sure that you, too, share the Gospel with others. Many in prayer groups will pray that the lost are saved, but then do nothing about it. So, pray and then love your neighbour enough to tell them the danger that they are in and then tell them how to be saved.

P.S. This post is not directed at Rebornfree or anyone specifically. It is just a statement to get people in prayer groups to act as well as pray. Blessings.

Great work and great news! Events liek the US Open are often incredible opportunities to get out there and spread the word, and in our planning meetings we often try to organize around them and make sure to get for ex. our pamphlets and flyers printed in time, plus of course our social media--including on Tiktok, insta and Snapchat, where curiously we've lately had a lot of positive reaction and shares from people we never thought we'd be able to engage. Can't deny a certain level of amusement especially at first when some of our younger eager missionaries began channeling their mission lessons into short cute Tiktok videos, but as in centuries before we reach our flock where they are, and often in surprising places.

And just a word to the wise on getting these mission materials prepared in general for anyone preparing for such occasions, never ever rely on one of those AI chatbots to "draft" your evangelical materials, some of our partners have tried this and it's led to disaster nearly every time. I know it seems convenient or time-saving occasionally especially when pamphlet contents may be difficult to come up with, but for all kinds of reasons the AI tends to "make up" things out of the blue and get critical parts wrong. As example one of our partner missionaries had some embarrassing results when handing out AI-generated pamphlets on a street corner, when it was too late to change them. Not to mention people in general have grown keen to the generic style of AI content and as we've been finding, almost universally loathe it even without major errors, so you'll lose your potential audience and they'll tend to tell others to ignore you, for what's perceived as minimal effort proselytizing and perhaps worse, even akin to spamming. And even if you manually proof-read a lot of the errors tend to be hard to catch.

It's often due to something called "hallucinations" with the AI as one of our mission content coordinators explained it--not enough of a techie to even begin to understand why or how, but due to fundamental problems in the way they're engineered apparently (so there's never really any way of "repairing" it) the AI just inserts things and goes way off from whatever your original request is. This too happened earlier this month to another one of our partner ministries and they've now officially barred any AI use. Obviously we do adopt some new tech as missions have done since St. Paul drafted the Epistles and Gutenberg printed his first Bibles, but AI in particular is very unreliable despite all the hype around it and with the emotional importance of precisely communicating your mission, it can undermine your work so be wary about using it.
