  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

D.C. police confirm they are investigating an alleged assault of a 27-year-old woman by U.S. Rep. Cory Mills, a Republican representing a district northeast of Orlando, calling it an active criminal investigation.

Mills’ office told NBC News: “This week, law enforcement was asked to resolve a private matter at Congressman Mills’ residence. Congressman Mills vehemently denies any wrongdoing whatsoever, and is confident any investigation will clear this matter quickly.”

The I-Team also reached out Thursday afternoon to the alleged victim, who we’re not naming, but who is not the congressman’s wife. In text messages she said: “Yesterday, I contacted law enforcement to address a personal matter… Although the argument was emotionally charged, there was no physical abuse involved.”

[Emphasis added.]

The first police report, provided to News4 by a source and confirmed by a second source familiar with the investigation, said: “(Her significant other for over a year) grabbed her, shoved her, and pushed her out of the door.” The report says she showed the officer “bruises on her arm which appeared fresh.”

The first report goes on to note that during a phone call between the significant other and alleged victim, she “let officers hear Subject 1 [now identified by MPD as Mills] instruct her to lie about the origin of her bruises

Miss United States Lindsey Langston accuses Rep. Cory Mills of threatening to publish her nude pics, sex videos

The reigning Miss United States is accusing Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) of threatening to make public sex videos and nude pictures of her — and “harm any men” she went out with in the future — after she ended their relationship earlier this year upon finding out he was seeing another woman.

Lindsey Langston, who was crowned in October, reported the shocking sextortion attempt by Mills, 45, to the Columbia (Fla.) County Sheriff’s Office July 14, according to a document obtained by The Post.

Mills and Langston, a GOP state committeewoman, had been dating since November 2021 and sharing a house in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., since May 2024 after the congressman claimed he finalized his divorce from estranged wife Rana Al Saadi.

But in February 2025, [i.e. the OP story] Sarah Raviani, an Iranian-American Republican activist, revealed her “significant other for over a year” had “grabbed her, shoved her, and pushed her out of the door” at the same location as Mills’ Washington, DC, penthouse apartment, according to a police incident report reviewed by NBC Washington.

The Post was unable to locate any divorce filings for Mills or Al Saadi, who cofounded a weapons company in the 2010s that is still based in northern Virginia.

Cory Mills denies ‘anything salacious’ as he seeks to fend off restraining order

Rep. Cory Mills tried to convince a Florida judge Friday that he never planned to circulate “salacious” videos of his ex-girlfriend or harm any of her future lovers, suggesting at one point he knew it would be politically damaging to take any such action.

Mills spoke in court as he tried to fend off a request for a restraining order from Lindsay Langston, the 2024 Miss United States and a Republican state committee woman, who is accusing Mills of causing her extreme emotional distress.

[Mills] maintained that while Langston had sent him intimate videos, he no longer had access to them because his phone was damaged and had to be replaced.

Mills also contended another message he sent where he suggested a future boyfriend would need to “strap up cowboy” was not a potential threat of violence but instead was a rodeo term meant to suggest that a “wild ride” was about to happen.

The push for the restraining order against Mills comes amid a swirl of controversies this year for second-term Republican, including a since-withdrawn allegation of assault and an ethics investigation into whether he’s benefited from contracts from the federal government while serving as a member of Congress. Mills has denied any wrongdoing in either matter.

[the assault was not against Langston (see middle of #3) but Langston inferred (correctly) that Mills was cheating on his wife with yet another woman.]
