  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Leavitt criticized House Democrats who voted against a resolution last week to formally condemn his assassination, which split Democrats last Friday as 95 voted to approve the ceremonial measure, 58 voted against it, 38 voted present and 22 abstained
Detractors in the Congressional Black Caucus claimed the resolution was "an attempt to legitimize Kirk’s worldview — a worldview that includes ideas many Americans find racist, harmful, and fundamentally un-American," according to their statement.

"This was a simple gesture of human decency to denounce political violence," she said. "I wish I could say that this was only a fringe group, but 96 votes is nearly half of the entire House Democrat caucus."

"And they didn't just vote against this basic resolution condemning political violence," she said. "A number of those same Democrats took to the House floor to smear Charlie Kirk's name. The man wasn't even buried yet, and Democrat members of Congress were denigrating his memory on the floor of the House of Representatives."

Since they had already formerly condemn Charlie Kirk's murder there was no need to do it again.

"And they didn't just vote against this basic resolution condemning political violence," she said. "A number of those same Democrats took to the House floor to smear Charlie Kirk's name.
They were explaining why they refused to honor his legacy which included claiming Biden should be executed and speaking down the Civil Rights Act and demeaning Martin Luther King.

He didn't deserve to die but he didn't deserve to be honored, either.
The man wasn't even buried yet, and Democrat members of Congress were denigrating his memory on the floor of the House of Representatives."
That was the Republican's fault. Democrats wouldn't have said anything if Republicans hadn't pushed them to respond.

None of this has anything to do with what you claimed. She was talking about Democrats who voted against or abstained from voting on the resolution.
All the stuff you posted about Democrats condemning the murder had nothing to do with what she was talking about.

Sure it does. Republicans are being petty trying to use this to make Democrats look petty.
She was talking about Democrats who voted against or abstained from voting on the resolution.
That's right and I've said that already BUT Democrats have no need voting on a resolution which both honors Charlie Kirk and condemns violence because they've already condemned violence after Kirk's murder. If Republicans would have left the honor Kirk off of the resolution, Democrats would have voted for it

All the stuff you posted about Democrats condemning the murder had nothing to do with what she was talking about.
Yes it did since she was condemning Democrats for not voting for the resolution to condemn violence. She knew that she was lying.

Lying? I’m done with this. You just keep doubling down on your own error

The resolution which was a week later. Several Democrats voted against the resolution for the own reasons.

I'm glad they refused to vote for the resolution. He shouldn't be honored by Democrats or Christians. Anyone who said that Joe Biden should be executed should not be honored. They would have voted on a resolution against political violence, which they had already done.
Prove it. Prove that Charlie Kirk said that Joe Biden should be executed.

Clearly, Kirk was saying that would only happen if Biden was put on trial and found guilty of treason.
Why would he want an innocent man put on trial? Why make such an insinuating statement when an a Congressional investigation couldn't find anything in four years of investigation? BUT, he didn't say what you claim. There's no "IF".

He said, "Joe Biden is a bumbling, dementia-filled Alzheimer's, corrupt, tyrant who should honestly be put in prison and/or given the death penalty for his crimes against America".

This is said right after he says this about Kamala Harris. "I know what you're thinking, we've got to get Joe Biden out of the way so we can run up against Kammy. Oh my goodness, is she beatable. It's like Black Hillary on steroids. Is she Black? I guess she says she's Caribbean or whatever. Doesn't matter. She gives these speeches, and it just has this aura of totalitarianism. My team says she is Indian and Caribbean".

He has no problem lying to his listeners which is not Christian.

He is not lying if he really believes that Joe Biden was not an innocent man.
