CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you are referring to me, I have many issues with my brother because he has been harmed a lot. Many of it was due to his own actions. It deeply saddens me, and I do have a right to feel disgusted by what he has done to himself. I often fear for his own safety because of some of his actions, which I won't share because it's too personal.
In polite company, of course, it would be wrong.

I think the point was in personal company, people don’t necessarily share their personal views. At least in Europe, people don’t share their religious or political views openly?
That’s why some people view America as “extremely religious,” when in reality, it greatly varies?
I don’t know.

I disagree. On a public forum where everyone can read and reply to your post its not rude at all.
Now if you were on the street talking to someone and I just walked up and started putting in, I would say its rude no matter what I said. Some rando putting into your private conversation.

IN OTHER WORDS, in everyday casual conversation, people don’t NECESSARILY talk about religion because it’s seen as a private affair. If I’m making sense.

I actually know of an Evangelical woman who feels the need to share her faith as much as possible so she can “save” people.
To most everyday people, it can come off as odd.
I’m in the United States, so maybe that’s why there’s a difference? I don’t know.

Nope I cant. I am supposed to share the gospel. So, no, I can't and won't. You dont have to listen and can ignore.

It also goes both ways. If people don’t want to hear about LGBT et al, they might think it’s annoying. I’m only playing devil’s advocate.
(Of course, personally, I respect everyone’s right to live as they want and will defend that right).

Neither do I. I have worked with gay people my entire career. Never once told them they were an abomination. But given an opportunity I will share the gospel.
THIS is a discussion and debate forum. I never once asked your opinion on transgender people, but you and all the other leftists give it anyway.
And being this is a CHRISTIAN forums its something you should expect.

If I may add, there are plenty of gay people who are celibate and devout Christians, or don’t even use the term “gay” because it’s so politicized. Some even see it as insulting.

Which is fine, but they dont have a problem at all with pushing their ideology on the rest of us through rhe force or law and any other method available.
But then they decide to get all annoyed when we speak up.
If they would just do their thing and not push the agenda and ideology of leftist ideas we wouldn't have an issue. Bit thats not what they have done and it's not what they are doing.

Yes, I have said ALL along, that being or feeling gay is not a sin. Acting on it is. Yes there are homosexual Christians who remain celibate.
