CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks for the willingness to pray, and I do not want to discourage that at all, even though I have to say that I don't know God's will on that matter. I can pray God will reduce all risks of nuclear war.
As to nuclear proliferation though there are two opposing theories as to what brings about more peace.
"The study further explores two opposing perspectives on nuclear proliferation. Kenneth Waltz advocates for nuclear deterrence, asserting that nuclear weapons stabilize international relations by discouraging conflicts through the fear of retaliation. In contrast, Scott Sagan and other scholars argue that nuclear proliferation increases the risk of war, especially when irrational leaders, military organizations, or non-state actors (e.g., terrorists) gain access to nuclear weapons." Nuclear Proliferation and Global Peace Threat or Guarantee
I say this in the context that Saudia Arabia has said it may seek nuclear weapons if Iran has nuclear weapons. In that context, it seems like a reasonable plan. Most would think it would threaten Israel more too but if we assume that Israel can wipe out Saudia Arabia with their nukes, then MADD may hold and Saudi Arabia may also hold back Iran. In sum, these matters are weighty and you do a good job of bringing the potential changes and the risks to our attention for prayer. God bless!
