Charlie was shot by somebody who had a trans partner and was no doubt a big advocate of the LGBT movement which I believe Charlie has spoken against. Charlie himself was an also big advocate for gun rights. This goes to show that people who want more gun control and are against gun rights are the same people that want to advance the LGBT movement, are for stuff such as homosexuality, want to allow abortion, in short they're the ones that go against the Bible.
That being said a Christian who is against guns and gun rights is being just like those people (the people who want to allow abortion, are in favor of homosexuality and the LGBT movement and so forth.) That being said Christians should not be against guns and gun rights, it's the kind of viewpoint that people who go against the Bible take.

It looks like the LGBTQ/Trans thing was the motivating factor for Kirk's murder/martyrdom. Tyler, the murderer, has a Republican MAGA dad and family and grew up with guns, but he also grew up hating his dad's view of life, the universe, and everything. This was a hardened post-adolescent state of being, so I understand why his dad handed him in. He lost one child to the dark side, but by the grace of God, he still has two spares. American gun laws are basically a part of the decision not to give the state a monopoly on force. That both protects rights and allows for extreme events of this kind. But the violence is not that bad compared to some societies where the government has all the guns.

Kirk was right about a lot of stuff and misquoted by millions. He was opposed to quotas on black pilots in United Airlines, and then people misquote him about his worries that the guy flying the plane might have been given the job by quota rather than having earned it by merit. That was not racism; that was common sense. If he died for expressing the truth about the transgender delusion, then in my view, he died a martyr, as that is something Christians should be standing against in the modern era.

Does it offend me? No, but I feel less interest in responding to someone who hasn’t been an active part of the discussion who only enters the discussion to throw around accusations.
