Ever consider reading an article before you post? It's in the very first sentence. What "backfired"?
Ever think of posting a summary when you make a new thread?Ever consider reading an article before you post?

Nope. Did you get through school by reading CliffsNotes?Ever think of posting a summary when you make a new thread?
In order to read the article, you have to click on the hyperlink which appears in blue letters. Do I need to explain what a link is? Do I need to explain how the internetz works? The only sentence I see mentions the number of contacts TP USA received.
From the op:
The co-founder and co-CEO Heather Wilson told the platform: 'Within hours of
Charlie’s tragic death, friends and supporters had set up a campaign. The fact that it took off so quickly shows just how deeply his life impacted people and how urgent the desire was to support his family.'

Vigils have been held across the US and in England and Australia.
Mourners in England joined together to pay tribute to Kirk, with the British branch of the organization organizing the vigil on September 12.
Turning Point UK CEO Jack Ross said: 'I know Charlie would have been incredibly touched by your presence.'

No. I either read or didn't read the assigned text, but most of my classes didn't have "assigned reading" anyway.Nope. Did you get through school by reading CliffsNotes?
I remember in college when I was shown the first web cam on the internet and thought --- what was the point of that? (I hadn't contemplated the use of all image based technologies....)In order to read the article, you have to click on the hyperlink which appears in blue letters. Do I need to explain what a link is? Thanks Michie, but unfortunately it doesn't explain the title of the thread, so...
Hey @Chesterton what backfired? Even the text of the article doesn't explain what *you* meant by "backfired".
Well that leap of logic at this point baffles me. There's currently no knowledge of the shooters motives outside of he seemed to be into internet memes. And the actions of a lone shooter hardly will silence anything and it's quite natural after an event like this that people who agreed with some of the points made at least would show support.View attachment 370049
How could you have possibly missed the very first line of the article which says "The assassination of Charlie Kirk in an apparent attempt to silence his views has backfired"? And then you go on to scold the OP? Ridiculous.
That's also ridiculous. He's on record as having said "Kirk is full of hate and spreading hate" shortly before he assassinated him. He engraved "Hey fascist, catch this" onto one of his bullets intended for Kirk. There's no lack of knowledge and it's not a mystery as to what Tyler Robinson's motive was. It's clear as day.Well that leap of logic at this point baffles me. There's currently no knowledge of the shooters motives outside of he seemed to be into internet memes. And there's a lot of internet meme things there as well, so don't pick just one thing out of it just to fit a narrative. So no, the reasons for this aren't fully known until we hear more. Luckily the man's father helped him turn himself in and he is alive ,so we get to find out. It could be related to what Kirk said, but that'll be found out. And when they release more info on whatever else the investigation turns up.That's also ridiculous. Well the article did say "apparent". And virtually all media sources are also going to say "alleged". But his motive for the assassination is a foregone conclusion based on established facts. It's highly likely that Robinson assassinated Kirk to permanently silence him. As opposed to meme things. And there's a lot of internet meme things there as well, so don't pick just one thing out of it just to fit a narrative. Nah, Kirk simply used the Socratic method. This technique of being baffled or confused is standard operating procedure for certain groups. It's really just designed to waste your time. They will remain in perpetual confusion and just never quite get it.
I guess I'm not sure what backfired...? Are we saying the intent behind Charlie Kirk's murder was to stop his organization from expanding and because there are new requests, the killing was a failure? Or to stop funding, so people collecting huge amounts of money on behalf of his death is indicative of failure in that goal? I'm not 100% sure what "it" is that backfired by somebody doing or not doing something.![]()
