To be fair, I didn't mention Trump specifically. But, that aside, I didn't realize the National Guard was sent into Washington DC specifically to prevent black kids from shooting up other black kids. Was that specified in the Executive Order, or is that your own personal interpretation of the act?

Though, going back to what I actually did say, sending in armed military troops does seem to line up with the goals and objectives of the NRA so it does seem on brand.

18 black kids were killed in DC just this year. Murders in DC dropped to 0 since Trump sent the national guard. Meaning no black kids were killed. Yet liberals seem strongly upset. If the goals and objectives of the NRA is to save lives and stop needless killing in our cities, they are doing more that democrat mayors.

Not about that, specifically. I wonder, do you actually know why liberals disagreed with Trump's decision? Their own reasons, not your assumptions about their reasons?

Yes, it's a good thing if murders have ceased. The reasons why that happened (assuming it has, that is) might be questionable, but that's a different issue.

18 kids are one about every three weeks. I do think that the military presence in D.C. has been effective and I hope it continues that way. Still, for now it is a small sample of time. The Memphis trend is quite disturbing too. Memphis has about 100k less in population too. The hypothesis of the rise in shooting in Memphis is guns stolen from vehicles are providing more criminals access to weapons. If the law did not prevent the military from policing, I would look to help Memphis. April 2025 had 7 children die in just that month.
