Some of Paul's reasoning doesn't follow, so I tend to ignore that part. I most certainly will not imitate any Christian just because they are of Christ.

Paul wrote once, I say, not the Lord.

When Paul says something then attaches a reason to it, the reasoning is not necessary. Paul even wrote about prophecies to weigh whether it is good or bad. If I detect pride or malice or some other sin in the motives, I skip past that part.

Paul definitely was inspired when writing, but was still human.

This doesn't seem like something a good Christian should apply, one example.

Paul says to judge for yourself, then appeals to how things look on the outside. Doesn't sound like very Christian reasoning, yet it is in scripture.
