No need to keep repeating that.Promoting abortion on a Christian forum is against the TOS. Period.
Fine.No need to keep repeating that.
I’m sorry you feel attacked by replies to your posts.….with the personal attacks
Again, first and foremost this is a Christian forum. Promoting abortion is uncalled for.I’m sorry you feel attacked by replies to your posts.
Why do you keep repeating that?Again, first and foremost this is a Christian forum. Promoting abortion is uncalled for.
Period.
I’m not.Why do you keep repeating that?
I’m not.
Just reminding others of the rules.
I was told this forum is not a safe space for certain conservative positions. Surely I wasn't given misinformation or even *GASP* lied to was I?You'd think bringing up abortion when, effectively, your interlocutor can't reply would be goading.
What is pro-life about guns? That's an agreeable arrangement.
I'm by no means a hardline pro-life person by any stretch...
However, I'm okay with the following
- Universal background checks and waiting periods for firearm purchases
- Additional early childcare funding
- Expanded healthcare access
- Expanded no-cost contraception
- Paid family leave for new mothers
...but, there needs to be some sort of good faith gesture from the hardline pro-choice crowd that they'd be willing to make some concessions, and not just immediately keep doing the same things, using the same "clump of cells" talking points, and continuing to treat elective abortions as a "get out of responsibility free card" the moment they get the gun and social safety net policies they wanted.
The measures listed above along with legislative measures that would return the situation back to the "safe, legal, and rare" framework of the 90's would need to be a package deal.
The pro-life crowd would be right to be skeptical of conceding on those gun and safety provisions without it.
I say that because the states that are most ardently pro-choice already have those things, and still portray it as if it'd be a return to Handmaid's Tale if elective abortions get capped at 16 weeks.
Nope! That’s not how that works. You'd think bringing up abortion when, effectively, your interlocutor can't reply would be goading.
Fine. We are all aware. You said it three times.
I’m well aware that only one side of the debate is allowed to state their case and do not need to randomly reminded of that multiple times.
Is it fun to have a discussion where the other side can't respond without fearing moderator action?Promoting abortion on a Christian forum is against the TOS. Period.
Must, not, make, joke about Mr Shapiro…Lots of right wing people are life long celibate and very vocal about it.
Christianity hasn't been counter-cultural in the western world since Constantine the Great. Also, Christianity is meant to be countercultural, but this post isn’t about Christianity.
This thread isn't about Christianity, though.Christianity hasn't been counter-cultural in the western world since Constantine the Great.
As a stand-alone issue, not much. What is pro-life about guns?
In a roundabout way, they do.Who writes the laws? Not the voters
I can make a persuasive argument that an embryo isn't a child or a human being, but then we'd be drifting into perilous territory. Note I'm correcting your misuse of terminology here.I’m very much aware. But a viable pregnancy shouldn’t be aborted because the child is unwanted. That’s beyond cruel and selfish.
That's not your decision to make.I’m aware birth control exists, and it’s not always effective. Period, again? Don’t want to 100% be a parent? Don’t have sex. It’s not that difficult.
As I've shown above, that doesn't appear to be a real concern, judging by the lack of action to reduce miscarriages, school shootings, and infant mortality. It’s about protecting the most innocent.
