I admit I'm not a fan of the prosperity gospel. But, as far as I know, doesn't she preach salvation by grace not works?
Hello! I don't see how you could preach the prosperity gospel and salvation by grace. The two are opposites. God Bless You :)

In fairness to Trump and his colossal ego, he's facing political challenges and pressures that most of us know nothing about.

We might need to plead for humility, but when you're dealing with characters like Putin, Zelensky, Kim and the others, while having access to the world's most powerful and nuclear armed forces, Franciscan humility might not be all that much use.

Who said "I'm glad but that doesn't mean anything about him getting into heaven." ?
And? Do you feel Buddhist Monks have anything to do with Christians going to heaven?

Trump was running his mouth, full of mumbo-jumbo, and Cambodian Monks like it. Who cares?

No, you asked if a verse "Blessed are the peacemakers"
Applied to Trump.
Trump wasn't just running his mouth in Cambodia.

Yes, I asked Richard T, who posted the verse.
Trump wasn't just running his mouth in Cambodia.
No, he didn't, but then why did you bring up Cambodian Monks???

U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he believes that helping negotiate an end to the Ukraine-Russia war might help him get to Heaven.

Trump called into the Fox News program "Fox & Friends" for a phone interview on Tuesday morning, one day after he hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders at the White House as part of the ongoing efforts to end the war in Ukraine, which began with Russia's invasion in 2022.

The president provided updates on efforts to end the war. He lamented the toll it was taking on the lives of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers as well as civilians residing in both countries.

Trump maintained that ending the war could "save 7,000 people a week from being killed."

"I want to try and get to Heaven if possible," the 79-year-old said. "I'm hearing I'm not doing well."

Trump says ending Ukraine-Russia war could help him get to Heaven

Matthew 6:1-4 Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen
them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in ...

For a President selling "God Bless the USA" Bibles which he claim,s to be his favorite book, apparently Trump hasn't progressed as far as the 6th chapter of Matthew!

Otherwise he would have known that the performing "righteous" acts on the world stabe and to receive its accolades for his achievements, including the Nobel Peace Prize, will bring him no closer to spending Eternity in Heaven!

Only God knows what's in our hearts - if Trump's primary motive in the peace process is to achieve widespread recognition and praise from the world then Matthew 6:1-4 is quite explicit - he has already received his reward!

Heavenly hope: What President Trump’s words show us about salvation

When President Donald Trump spoke recently about his hopes of getting to Heaven, the remark quickly made headlines.

Reflecting on the terrible human cost of the war in Ukraine, he said that helping to end the conflict could “save 7,000 people a week from being killed,” and then added, “I want to try and get to Heaven, if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well. But if I can get to Heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”

Some reacted with cynicism, while others dismissed it as just another soundbite. But I believe the comment deserves a deeper reflection.

As Jason Williams of North Carolina Faith and Freedom observed: “It’s genuinely refreshing to hear a president express such a desire. What a blessing to have a leader who acknowledges eternity and wants to do something good with the time he has on Earth.”

Indeed. President Trump has been a faithful friend to the Christian community. He has stood boldly for life, defended our religious liberty, and championed policies that reflect our biblical values. Now, as he turns his eyes toward peace and eternal things, Christians should be grateful and prayerful, asking God to give him light, guidance, and ultimately the assurance of salvation that only comes through trusting in Christ alone and His finished work on our behalf.
