"We “zoomers” are rediscovering that the Catholic Faith offers the fullness of truth, goodness, and beauty. In an ever-changing world, we long to be part of something greater than ourselves. For many, myself included, this longing has led us to the timeless traditions of the Church, and in particular, to the Traditional Latin Mass."

So is this interest based on a misunderstanding?

TLM is not a timeless tradition. It was codified by Pope Pius V in 1570. And it is obviously Eurocentric. While the Catholic Faith offers the fullness of truth, goodness, and beauty, those qualities are not dependent upon any particular language. Now I say that as someone who loves and studies Latin. A liturgical preference is one thing. But something like a claim that only that rite is the real deal or most attractive is a mistake. The attraction should not be the language or the rite but Christ himself. Does anyone think that "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum," has a preference for the language of the people and culture who crucified him?
