LOL!Even that poll shows that most Americans disapprove of his tactics.
Voters Welcome Immigration Curbs but Say Tactics Go Too Far, WSJ Poll Finds
The poll found just over half of voters approve of Trump’s handling of illegal immigration, a centerpiece of his agenda, and that 62% of respondents favor deporting people who came to the country illegally. But the Trump administration’s mechanisms and levers for doing so are proving unpopular.
58% of voters oppose detaining and deporting people believed to be in the U.S. illegally without them seeing a judge or getting a hearing.
58% oppose deporting immigrants to prisons in other countries, such as El Salvador and South Sudan, where they have no personal connections.
62% say the government is simply deporting as many people as possible regardless of whether they have criminal records.
A slim majority of Americans hold an unfavorable view of ICE, while 45% hold a favorable view of the agency.
RCP's average of more than a dozen polls also shows that most Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of immigration.

What criminals? You mean against Trump and the criminals in his administration, or do they get a pass?
Add lawfare to the list.We impeached him twice.
The WJS survey from 7/28 isn't on that list. Is excluding notable polls a scientific approach? If so, please explain the science. The average is for the period July 6th - August 18th.
I don't know why RCP excluded the WSJ poll, but even if the WSJ poll were included, the RCP polling average would still show that most Americans disapprove of Trump's immigration policies. The WJS survey from 7/28 isn't on that list. To bad Trump is not focussing on that.Seventy-five percent of respondents also said they support the administration’s efforts to deport criminals who are in the country illegally, including 93 percent of Republicans, 70 percent of independents, and 59 percent of Democrats.
That poll is included in the RCP polling average and it shows that 50% approve of Trump on Immigration.I like this Harvard study. I wonder if they took a scientific approach.
A majority of voters gave President Trump’s immigration policies high marks, according to a Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released Monday.
That depends on which polls they selectively chose to include in their average.I don't know why RCP excluded the WSJ poll, but even if the WSJ poll were included, the RCP polling average would still show that most Americans disapprove of Trump's immigration policies.

That might depend on the person's circumstances, how long it takes to go through the legal process, and how likely one is to be approved through the legal process (which may be subject to quotas or require documentation that a person may be unable to provide, through no fault of their own).IMHO the question should be asked that when there are legal means of entering a country, what sort of person enters illegally?
That's news to me. My sources, including Karoline Leavitt, say otherwise. To bad Trump is not focussing on that.
I don't know what you are trying to prove with those numbers. I'm not a Democrat--they're not far enough left for me, but I approve of closing the border. I also approve of prioritizing illegal aliens who have committed crimes while they are here. I only wish that was what Trump was actually doing.View attachment 368908
The margin of error for the total
sample is +/- 2.2 pts on a 95% confidence level.
That looks fairly scientific.
Note that those two questions are about very specific components of Trump's overall scheme. For most Americans, when you ask them about the administration's efforts to deport "criminals," they think about efforts to deport people with criminal records, especially violent criminals. I know it's popular for Trump's proponents to reframe that by stating that anyone here illegally is technically a "criminal," but that's not how most people think.View attachment 368908
