Actually it's quite the opposite, what conspiracies theories do is wake one up to the truth.
I've no doubt that's what you've been told, but it's incorrect.
1. Meaning of conspiracy:
1.a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful: 2. the action of plotting or conspiring:
the
activity of
secretly planning with other
people to do something
bad or
illegal:
. An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act.
It's not illegal to tell people that men didn't walk on the moon when they did, but it's not true. And if there were any chance that money was being made from stating a lie, that would be wrong.
It's also wrong on these forums as some of us have been told that we don't have the truth, we are being, or will be, deceived, we are posting here just for attention, and much more besides.
2. The KJV itself backs the meaning of conspiracy: 2 Samuel 15:12, 2 Kings 12:20, 2 Kings 15:15, Jeremiah 11:9., for example. In each case there was a plot to do someone harm. The word conspiracy also means "plot" and suggests something secret and underhand - eg conspiring to pervert the course of justice, conspiring to kill someone, blow up parliament, etc. If something is done sneakily or in secret, it is likely to be untrue.
3. You have previously been adamant in your statements that gravity is only a theory - something that is untrue; an idea. Yet conspiracy theories and apparently not ideas but are true. At best, that is a double standard.
They may not always get it right but on this occasion they are.
You're saying that they're right because "they" are saying something that agrees with your beliefs.
And if conspiracy theories "wake one upto the truth", they either have to do it all the time, or not at all. They can't sometimes be about truth but sometimes not; nobody would know what they could trust.
As it happens it's easy - we can't trust any of them.
