Wanting a good life is necessary to stop (or at least recognize and if possible deal with) those who were simply paid to leave their home-countries to get to the usa for a "hidden agenda" no matter what it was/is.
Okay, stop all of those folks or send them back, obviously. I don't think many people are opposed to or shocked by the deportation of those who are criminals or have some conspiratorial agenda or whatever. What is disturbing is how working folk, family oriented folk, God-fearing folk are being treated. These are not animals; they are humans and should be treated as such. This isn't rocket science. You can believe all kinds of conspiratorial theories and even believe the earth is flat with lizard people in charge, and still understand what I am saying. There is no excuse, and you can bet God is not delighted by it.

True, but I don't want any of my hard-earned tax dollars going to lazy poor people who don't work or aliens who have snuck in here to contaminate the purity of our cultural institutions.
Are these two separate groups?
How does an undocumented family “contaminate” cultural institutions?

That's the same risk how many millions took in the 50 years before you existed........ and everyone has suffered greatly for it. Happened in other countries also, and perhaps the whole population of earth has suffered untold harm because of it. And , sadly, with grief and pain once realized, all of our relatives, children, parents, cousins, neighbors, churches, schools, businesses too. (if I remember the topic.....)

You know, they're foreign . The don't speak English, they eat weird food, listen to weird music, have holidays that nobody ever heard of, they're proud of their cultural heritage even though they live in America now, it just isn't right. Some of them even eat pets.

"Biden was not letting people come in illegally."
Yes he did, by the millions.
Jesus Christ was not a displaced immigrant
That is false. And yes, Jesus was in fact a displaced immigrant. Go read your bible.

The American people are delighted with this Administration's enforcement of the law.

A more recent poll from CBS/YouGov:

A few other polls:

Americans largely oppose recent efforts by Donald Trump’s administration to scale up its deportation program, a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS finds, with a rising majority saying the president has gone too far in carrying out deportations.

In the latest survey,
55% say the president has gone too far when it comes to deporting immigrants living in the US illegally...

Only 38% of Americans support deporting all immigrants who are living in the United States illegally back to their home country according to this Gallup poll.

The Economist/YouGov Poll August 15 - 18, 2025

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Donald Trump is handling these specific issues?

53% Disapprove
43% Approve

Pew
  • 65% of Americans say there should be ways for immigrants who are currently living in the country illegally to stay legally if certain requirements are met.
  • 61% disapprove of deporting some immigrants who are in the United States illegally to a prison in El Salvador
  • 60% of Americans disapprove of the suspension of most asylum applications.
  • 59% disapprove of ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for many immigrants who came to the United States escaping war or other disasters at home.
  • 54% disapprove of increasing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids on workplaces where people who are in the U.S. illegally may be working.
  • Only 31% of U.S. adults say there should be a national deportation effort.

This one is even more recent:

62% back Trump’s larger push to remove migrants who entered the US illegally

Even that poll shows that most Americans disapprove of his tactics.

Voters Welcome Immigration Curbs but Say Tactics Go Too Far, WSJ Poll Finds

The poll found just over half of voters approve of Trump’s handling of illegal immigration, a centerpiece of his agenda, and that 62% of respondents favor deporting people who came to the country illegally. But the Trump administration’s mechanisms and levers for doing so are proving unpopular.

58% of voters oppose detaining and deporting people believed to be in the U.S. illegally without them seeing a judge or getting a hearing.
58% oppose deporting immigrants to prisons in other countries, such as El Salvador and South Sudan, where they have no personal connections.
62% say the government is simply deporting as many people as possible regardless of whether they have criminal records.
A slim majority of Americans hold an unfavorable view of ICE, while 45% hold a favorable view of the agency.

RCP's average of more than a dozen polls also shows that most Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of immigration.

Are you ok with millions of illegal entrants the Biden administration let in during his 4 yr term...or should they be deported?

I'm not okay with the dishonest framing of the question.
Biden did not "let" anyone in during the 4 years.

As for deportation. Yes, those who are here illegally should be deported....in accordance with our Consitution, laws and humanity.

No. Do not as if possible try to apply what the Bible says to life as we are living it. Everything is not only upside down today, but everything (practically) is harmful - pernicious (re Galatians) - and surviving is by sheer grace of the Creator through Jesus the Messiah.
But you literally just did that to Biden with Roman's 13.

Cherry picking verses is one problem. Cherry picking when you believe and apply certain verses is another, not small, problem.

If I go into one of these countries illegally, I can expect to be deported.
Yes. There is a difference between entering a country legally and illegally. IMHO the question should be asked that when there are legal means of entering a country, what sort of person enters illegally? Perhaps this scripture has a bearing:

John 10:1 "Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber"

God Bless All :)

Ew.

I can't imagine using verses about salvation so utterly out of context.

It absolutely supports the notion that those who were let in to claim asylum are all "thieves and robbers" a notion that supports the administration's immigration propaganda.

""How many of these illegal entrants have you allowed to come onto your property or in your home and stay with you as long as they want?"
It is a good way to shut down a reasonable , truthful and honest conversation. Anyway, I am going to ovetlook it because it defeats any possibility of getting to the truth of the matter.
"
No, you just don't want to say what you would do in part due to your "full disclosure". So your reply is what is typical of those who have a dog in the fight so to speak.
This post isn't about immigrants from your parent's day...this post is about recent, in the 4 years of Biden illegal immigrants, some who are criminals.
You "overlooking" is just you not wanting to have an truthful and honest convo about the Biden illegal immigrants.
The hypocrisy is that you speak about your parents situation and I'm sure they are wonderful people, but they aren't from the same time and where the Biden illegal immigrants is in that they are pawns in the Left leanings plans and criminals allowed in like rapists, murderers, etc have come in with a welcome mat laid out for them by the Biden admin. Breaking the law out of one side of their mouth and then on the other side they would say "no one is above the law". But we know they only mean that for those who lean Right, not themselves.

So now that I've established that this post is about the current day illegal entrants and not from your parent's time, you should have no problem honestly answering these questions in my last comment...
We can love strangers while not breaking the law.
- How many of these illegal entrants have you allowed to come onto your property or in your home and stay with you as long as they want?
That is what it's like when Biden allowed millions in illegally.
- If any of us came onto your property or in your home illegally, I'm pretty sure you would have the authorities remove us. Correct?
That too is what it is like when ICE is trying to remove illegal entrants and send them back home.

If you want to really have "a reasonable , truthful and honest conversation" then it should be no problem to answer the questions about the Biden illegal entrants. All of it, yes the parts you may not like, are part of a reasonable, truthful, honest convo

I must point out that your post contains some inaccuracies. For a meaningful discussion, it is important for all participants to engage honestly and truthfully.

Your post refers to "Biden illegal immigration," implying that Biden administration policies are solely responsible for the issue of undocumented immigrants in the United States. However, this issue has persisted for decades. After President Reagan granted amnesty to approximately 3 million undocumented individuals, migration continued. By the time President Trump began his term in 2017, there were already over 12 million undocumented immigrants in the country. Between 2017 and 2021, an estimated 3.5 million undocumented immigrants entered the United States. While it is accurate that policies or the absence thereof during the Biden administration have led to increased border crossings, attributing the entire problem to one administration does not reflect the complexity of the situation.

If immigrant come to America, they should worship American god.
