Good grief - if the man came out tomorrow with a cure for cancer the headlines would read "Trump puts thousands of doctors out of work"
This is PERFECT! I love this hypothetical for two reasons.

1.there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that trump could EVER find a cure for cancer but because this is hypothetical land we have to play along with the IDEA that Trump could do something those good AND useful.

2.
https://www.reuters.com/business/he...yoffs-health-agencies-sources-say-2025-04-01/

US veterans agency lost thousands of ‘core’ medical staff under Trump, records show

so Trump has lost quite a few medical personnel.

When you're trying to prove how overreactive his critics are you may wanna not actually put a real world outcome of a criticism of Trump.

The reader will note.I never said that Trump found a cure for cancer. I never said he was working on a cure for cancer. It was obviously a hypothetical. Thank the poster above for abundantly demonstrating what an overreaction looks like.

This is an expression of absolute knowledge; but only YHWH has absolute knowledge.

With all of the CAPS, that statement has the look and feel of Truth Social. As the Left continues to slide in the polls; there is much that they could do to cling to their power, by emulating MAGA.

He is not only not working on a cure for cancer, he is actively working against cures for cancer by clawing back grants and funding while at the same time crippling the EPA from protecting clean air and water.

I breath Chinese air. Trump has no control over that; but he might reduce their emissions by bring industry back here to the good old US of A. Of course that will hurt the fat cats who benefit form the Chinese slave labor that is making them rich; as American workers struggle to pay their bills. How is the EPA crippled from protecting clean water?

I'm grateful for the work that Trump is doing to remove toxins from our food. MAHA!

I was commenting on how much I loved your hypothetical. So clearly I knew Trump didn't cure cancer. Of course he did cut funding for doctors so that part isnt hypothetical is it?

Do you have a peoblem with the reasons why I loved it? Because you could comment on that.

Sure, too bad about the air and water, though.

EPA is about to lose a major tool that allows it to keep energy costs low and regulate pollution. The pending repeal of EPA’s Endangerment Finding will make our air dirtier, our energy more expensive, and our planet less healthy. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and President Trump are behind this effort to enrich Big Polluters at our expense....

The Trump administration is exempting dozens of chemical manufacturers, oil refineries, coal plants, medical device sterilizers and other polluters from Clean Air Act rules....
The limits are aimed at reducing the releases of toxic chemicals, including those that cause cancer. One rule that the Trump administration is exempting about 50 polluters from would have been expected to reduce cancer risks of people living within 6 miles of a chemical plant by 96 percent.
The Trump administration touted its decision as being supportive of fossil fuels and manufacturing....
  • One proclamation exempts about 40 medical device sterilizing plants from requirements to reduce 90 percent of their emissions of cancer-causing ethylene oxide.
  • Another exempts more than 50 chemical manufacturers and oil refineries from requirements to cut emissions of toxic chemicals including ethylene oxide and another cancer-linked chemical called chloroprene.
  • A third proclamation exempts eight producers of taconite iron ore, which is used to make steel, from requirements to reduce mercury emissions by about 33 percent. Fetal exposure to mercury is linked to brain and nervous system damage.
  • The fourth proclamation exempts six coal plants from restrictions on releases of mercury, nickel, arsenic and lead. The Biden-era rule in question was expected to reduce exposure to substances that can cause developmental delays in children, as well as heart attacks and cancer.

A bunch of leftist scare mongering, written by a leftist writer. The EPA has been over regulating for many years now, going way above and beyond safety measures. Making more and more demands on our manufacturers which make it more and more difficult for us and t are away our manufacturing.

and look at all the examples you gave to peove your point.

You do know thar regulations get put into place to PROTECT CONSUMERS and cirizens right?

They aren't a bunch of random rules put in to purposefully handicap a company.

There were soo many fans of rfk bwcause they were looking forward to all rhe protective regulations he was going to put in plqce to control bad chemicals in youe food system.

Making more and more demands on our manufacturers which make it more and more difficult for us and t are away our manufacturing.
And who cares about us citizens or consumers right?

If you're worries about manufacturing tell Trump to stop with the tarriffs

Poisoning the well with a dash of ad hom. Dispute the facts, if you can.

The regulations return the costs of production to the ones who profit rather than to the general public which suffers from health costs and cleanup costs.

Yes and we need them, to a point. They have gone beyond what is necessary. Just cause rhere is a regulation doesn't mean it was necessary. Sometimes they are rules that handicap a company that aren't necessary.
There were soo many fans of rfk bwcause they were looking forward to all rhe protective regulations he was going to put in plqce to control bad chemicals in youe food system.
Yup and some are good. There was some concern that he might go too far, but so far it hasnt happened.
And who cares about us citizens or consumers right?
A little hystrionic don't you think? Its kind of a ridiculous statement.
If you're worries about manufacturing tell Trump to stop with the tarriffs
Part of the reason for tariffs is to aid manufacturing in the US.

There is no evidence presented that proves these roll backs of some regulations will be harmful. Most of rhe roll backs will be going to back to regulations before Obama increased them.

Where is the evidence that what rhe EPA is ACTUALLY doing is going to ACTUALLY harm people. We aren't going back to the 1920s you know.

You seemed to be operating under rhe assumption that every regulation is a good regulation and a necessary one.
