Yeah that what im concerned with. Cleaning up the cime is great. But its a far larger process that just getting more enforcement on the front end. You need the rest of the system to work. Its not just the cops that have failed DC, its the whole system. I honestly dont see lasting change if the rest of the system cant ir don't do their jobs. There's the revolving door and then there's the free-for-all. which is where there's no one to stop them. There's surveillance footage of a group of shoplifters in a DC store casually taking as much merch as they can carry, knowing they're not going to get arrested.
