While that wouldn't be out of type for a self-help author, the thread is is about RW commentator Victor Davis Hanson, not self-help entrepreneur Mark Victor Hanson.

VD Hanson's opinions are only authoritative as far as the reach of a phalax's spears from hismn expertise.
Sorry.

I've yet to see an example of Marxism in the Democratic Party.
Zohran Mamdani statement "there should not be Billionaires" indicates a desire for high taxes on the rich and lots of government interference which is often counterproductive.
It really annoys me that the American right has defined that as Marxism but they are blissfully unaware of how technically incorrect they are.

Yeah, it might not work, but let’s try it for, oh, say 50 years?

They don’t need “accuracy“ if they can gerrymander enough districts.

Trump is on the majority side of most of the issues concerning people. There should not be government funding of political entities. Most people want police to respond to 911 calls rather than social workers. Most think that private companies should run grocery stores. Most want to decide for themselves whether they have a gas or electric car or stove. Most approve of following the law when it comes to immigration. Most do not want violent criminals roaming their streets. Most do not want people given preference because of the color of their skin. Most are against Marxism. But what Trump has done is make himself available for dialogue, spending hours with the press answering questions.
Polling says otherwise. Even come immigration.

The Democrats have heavily gerrymandered districts for decades and now are horrified that the Republicans are in the game.

I’m in favor of getting politicians out of the business of redistricting altogether.
Allow independent commissions select the congressional districts in the several states, let the chips fall where they may and get back to the business of governing (rather than seeking to “rule”).
