Is Western world suffering from a 20th century idolatric system where it has the main role ?

Let's assume i was a poor living in the developping world last century.
I had an idolatric vision of the western world, through TV and other medias i could watch by chance.
How disappointing it should have been for me to come into one of these country, and observe everything was far from a James Bond movie, and that most people have to work hard to make one's living, even in the western world.
The latters have yet an informative message on their TV program, where the 'entertainment' mention warns them all the James Bond movie was a fiction

Is it possible, on this basis, that many persons in the developped country, even some politics, have dreamt to imitate the TV irreality ?
I think, if my assumption is correct, that the misunderstanding ought to be removed

What's your feeling, please ?

I'm not fully sure, but a part of my English degree was examining the impact of Western Media exports on other cultures. I dread to think about what Adam Sandler and other comedy movies are making American nationals look like abroad. The reality is more like the Hunger Games and Panem.

Don't you think things have drifted to what you see as a Hunger games, from a more human world it may have been in the times i'm referring to. May be i idealize the last century, but it seems to me as well, there is a mind of the rapidity that accelerated the degenerative processing, in the western societies at least

I’m not getting your point. You want a better world like the 20th century. That’s where all the corruption you see started. Now is worse than before. This is what man did to Gods life. It’s not going to get better prepare yourself. The coming of the rapture of the church is noxt. Then the Tribulation as in Revelation of John. We don’t need social justice we need to be close to God through Jesus.

i agree 100% with you

My aim was just to propose an explanation as for how such corruption sprang.
And my response is that the two world lived on an illusion, and to which both people remain clamped :
This of the idolatric system, as western world played the idol, more or less consciously.

And,
from this idol role the western one was playing, the Third world coutries took naturally inspiration for its own behavior.
How easy it was then for corrupters to mine the same vein, i mean : this illusion.

In paralell, i was suggesting, in the 20th, everything was not so corrupted by the exploitation of this illusion.

There were a majority (i weigh this word) of people dreaming of climbing the social ladder through an honest work, and not through the illusion and the corruption

The war in viet nam disillusioned people with American so that they are exploiting it for their own gain. And the next war and the next war. Even the leadership. It wasn’t an illususion but it sure is not able to fulfill the American dream now. Not to often anyway. Only for the very big in business and the very rich. Maybe it’s just a hard times. But stop beating a dead horse and get with God. I doubt if it’s reparable. Not to sounds dooms day but the rapture is coming. God is all that matters. Get prepared.

You are likely right. Every waging war people's always done that, but i admit it's not a valuable reason to forget the evil done. Was just trying to make remembrance of the good, too, that's always relative to each new order enforced by each new leading people. (Every people is not lead by a despotic dictator)

i don't see any other valuable dream, that might ever become a reality, to keep people live together peacefully, yet. The days of conquest are over, on Earth, that gave lot of strength to this dream. It's my way of turning towards God, that is, by accepting Earth's become a little planet where resources are turning rare that we should share between the few milliard persons living and working above

Sorry, for me, as long as Christ isn't come back, the human condition's still to live on a little planet, like a cake that's to share between goodwilling and peaceful working persons

I learn from 2 Peter 3, 8-12 that it's no need to anticipate, and from Mt 24, 44-51 that we should remain brotherly loving each other, going on with the distribution (sharing) of food (or meat) in due season, up to the end
