I have no idea what you are talking about. So now you've abandoned reason and are trying to argue by assertion. Which is a sufficient admission for now.

You aren't cowtowing to anyone. You live in Canada. Whats going in in DC has no effect on your life whatsoever. But the people in DC will appreciate it as their city becomes cleaner and safer. So will those who wish to visit or live there in the future if this is done right.I'm tired of cowtowing to "people".
Yeah I dont think it fails at all. It's a good analogy. Sorry you dont like it. I don't care. If you want to totally ignore tge point that's on you.Your analogy fails badly as any hurricane that hits land can be an emergency, but the higher crime rate was not one while the lower one suddenly is one. Three hurricanes are not more of an emergency than two, depending on factors such as where it hits, what force it is, etc.
Sadly, it seems so.I have no idea what you are talking about.
I dont care what the "SURVEY SAYS". It all depends on who responded. Could have been a lot of people like you and fewer people like me. And there's an awful lot of people who have no idea what's going on.Trump’s DC crime crackdown In an Aug. 11 YouGov survey, a plurality of respondents, 47%, said they strongly (38%) or somewhat disapprove (9%) of the president’s actions...
A smaller share, 34%, said they strongly (21%) or somewhat approve (13%) of his moves. An additional 20% said they were not sure.

So far about 1/3 of Americans think it's a good idea. Let's see how events affect that...
I've explained why it totally fails. It doesn't make any sense, again, as one hurricane can be an emergency and three hurricanes can be not an emergency, depending on circumstances. If crime was not an emergency before, then considerably less crime now hardly constitutes one as things have gotten better, not worse.Yeah I dont think it fails at all. It's a good analogy. Whats SE? And if it us bad there and part of DC, they SHOULD go there. They sure do, and he is showing tough by putting national guardsmen, famous for their policing abilities, on the street in the affluent neighborhoods. Meanwhile, as far as I can find out, there are no federal forces deployed in SE. I imagine it's considered too dangerous for them there.
Aww.. don't be sad.So now you've abandoned reason and are trying to argue by assertion. Which is a sufficient admission for now.

Yup, still ignoring the point. I cant do a good rebuttal if you just ignore the whole point.I've explained why it totally fails. If crime was not an emergency before, then considerably less crime now hardly constitutes one as things have gotten better, not worse.
If that's the best rebuttal you can come up with, well, so much the worse for your argument.
Mostly tried to deflect from. Crime has been steadily falling in D.C. This, Trump assures us, is an "emergency." The real emergency is that repeated attempts to deflect from the Epstein cover-up have failed.Which I have not argued about.
Succinctly done. Nice work.False !
This phrase is used by many politicians not necessarily a call to violence if you think it is a lot of your political heroes are guilty as well.
Immediate Deaths on January 6, 2021
• Four individuals among the rioters died during the events of that day:
1. Ashli Babbitt — shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer while trying to breach a secured area.
2. Kevin Greeson — suffered a heart attack due to pre-existing cardiovascular disease; ruled natural causes.
3. Benjamin (Ben) Phillips — died of a stroke, ruled natural causes.
4. Rosanne (Roseanne) Boyland — initially thought trampled, but medical examiner ruled the cause of death an accidental amphetamine overdose.
• Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick — initially linked to injuries sustained during the riot, later determined by the DC medical examiner to have died of natural causes (strokes)"
These facts do not support the narrative you attempt to imply!
Trump sent no one to perpetrate violence, if someone thought he did they should look to their own selves to assign blame.
Why did you respond to my post initially? It wasn’t even addressed to you. I had responded to another poster. The deflection is yours. As you see, the deflection attempt is not about winning the next election, it's to somehow get people's attention off of what Trump and Epstein were doing together.

The "emergency response" is, so far, merely performative, with troops stationed in high visiblity, low-crime areas of D.C. They did arrest a violent criminal who tossed a subway sandwich at one of the occupying troops. So getting that violent crime rate down...
Your point, like your hurricane analogy failed. I explained why. Horse/water.Yup, still ignoring the point. I cant do a good rebuttal if you just ignore the whole point.

Your first forum here, perhaps? The deflection is yours.
Nah. Been around for a bit.Your first forum here, perhaps?
While it shares characteristics with other major American cities, Washington, D.C. is unique in several significant ways:It's not Panem..it's just another city.
The criminals in DC are furious over this.
Thirty days, shmirty days. This means eternal emergency and eternal use of federalized troops in civilian matters.
Oh noes federal control of the federal district.Thirty days, shmirty days.
As Guard deploys, Trump to seek 'long-term' federal control of DC police
President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he will seek more permanent federal control of the Washington, D.C., police force as he continues his efforts to ramp-up crime enforcement in the nation's capital.
Because it's better to make repairs after those who have trashed the place have been removed.Trump indicated at one point that he'd ask Congress for more funds to fight crime and to make repairs to Washington's streets and parks.
[Why didn't he ask them to do that before wresting control?]
