Sure - but isn't the real scandal that for all Trump's crying about Witch Hunts when the DOJ were investigating REAL issues with Trump's behaviour - got to love the irony of him appointing his personal lawyer as head of DOJ.
Is that normal for America - especially after the way Republicans created such a stink over a half hour meeting of Clinton with his DOJ

Why would they need a "Hunter Biden strategy"? The "strategy" was to grant a full and unconditional pardon to Hunter Biden for 10 years worth of offenses. It didn't really matter what the verdict at the trial was because the final outcome was already assured.

CNN first reported the meeting that didn't actually take place, would take place Wednesday August 6th. Therefore I said: 'Maybe next time CNN will report on a secret not secret powwow after it actually happens'. Other outlets like Reuters picking up and running with CNN's false report doesn't cancel out what I said.
After CNN first reported it. Other sources picking up on it is one more reason why CNN should have waited until the supposed meeting actually took place (which it never would have). Now they all have egg on face shame.

Top Trump officials discussed Epstein at White House meeting Wednesday night
A much-anticipated meeting between Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, Vice President JD Vance and others was moved from Vance’s residence to the White House Wednesday night after intense media coverage, a source familiar with the logistics told CNN.
They discussed a number of topics, including the Jeffrey Epstein case and potential next steps, the source said.
The meeting was originally planned to take place at Vance’s DC home and was also supposed to include White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, CNN previously reported. The administration’s handling of the Epstein case, as well as the need to craft a unified response, was expected to be a main focus of the dinner.

I can't speak to that. The conclusion is he hung himself. The problem is the Trump admin is knee deep in a cover up for some reason. I have an idea why, but that's what they are doing and it will in the end lead to Maxwell pardon by Trump.

I still think they are doing some 25th Amendment preliminaries.
The day Trump was inaugurated speculation began that on or about 1/20/27, when he had been president two years, they would use the 25th Amendment to install Vance in his place.
Their belief--Vance would have a chance to serve two more full terms if the change took place after 1/20/27.
Heaven knows that there is more than ample reason to make such a move, even though some of Trump's cabinet members (RFK, Jr., for example) could also be faulted for unfitness for the role.
Project 2025 has gotten him elected and accomplished their goals. They believed that, for completely incomprehensible and illogical reasons, he exerts a powerful negative charisma that some voters find attractive. But he's not what they want. They are intelligent enough to use him and intelligent enough to want to rid themselves of him at the first opportunity.

Indeed. It was never a big deal in the first place. It was made into a big deal because republicans and democrats questioned ex-president Bill Clinton having a meeting with AG Loretta Lynch at an airport in June 2016, while his wife, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, was onder DOJ investigation for her email shenanigans. They're trying to compare the White House meeting with that, even though they're really nothing alike.
