Not mine either. But it did sound pretty cool, seeing the pope, singing etc.
I agree! I went to Blessed Solanus Casey's Beatification in a stadium in Detroit. It was packed. I wasn't too comfortable with the crowds, but the event was inspiring.

I didn't like crowds even when I was young. Driving a distance wouldn't bother me, but I would not go anyway.

Various items in the media pop up from time to time about the 1969 Woodstock, but it would have left me cold.

A Catholic Woodstock doesn't hold any more appeal.

I lifted this line from the quoted article.

There will be 2,760 portable toilets, plus 158 for disabled people, spread over the event space of 52 hectares (128 acres), officials said.

This is off topic, but way back circa 1988 there was an Australian TV comedy show called the Comedy Company. One of the characters was an Uncle Arthur.

Also in 1988 Brisbane held Expo 88 in what is now Southbank. It transformed what was then a run-down part of the city (South Brisbane on the river bank). But if you go to about the seven minute mark of this video, you'll see Uncle Arthur in a desperate moment at Brisbane Expo 88. And yes, the fountains were near the approach to one set of toilets with thousands of people causing queues.

I've never been one for loud, crowded venues, of any type, even when I was younger. But today, it would be out of the question. At my age, with the number of physical disabilities I deal with in my back, feet, shoulders, hips, and neck, strenuous climbing is completely off the books. And the PTSD puts a cap on it---I start to get wiggy in a crowded supermarket lane and begin looking for an avenue of quick escape, so being packed in with thousands of people and no way to get out would definitely send me over the edge.

I couldn’t even have done it then because simple 2 hour road trips used to bother me. I couldn’t sleep.
Nowadays I can sleep on vacation but am also still really anxious.

Same here, including in grocery stores.

I work as a cashier at Target for the moment.

So much NOISE! Ugh. It gets on my nerves :(

I would love it, but also couldn’t handle it! I have very little tolerance for heat!
It sounds like quite a memorable experience for those who can handle all the inconveniences of it.
