While the silly neo-progressives of today think that criticism of Pope Francis when he was alive and now in death is the greatest threat to the Church, the article I link below hits the real nail on the real head.

It isn’t white martyrs like the three Sacred Heart Seminary laymen theologians fired by the Archbishop of Detroit, who represent the greatest of all threats to the papacy and now legacy of Pope Francis as well as to the unity of the Church, but rather, the German Church, including numerous bishops, some cardinals, as well as theologians, priests, religious and laity. The threat of a full-blown schism in Germany, similar to the Protestant Revolt or Reformation, rooted also in Germany, is very real and makes anyone in the USA who are considered in a hyperbolic way as “Francis haters” by the silly neo-progressive left, look like child’s play.

The article by Serre Verweij written for Rorate Caeli is long but a must read. It is very insightful, especially the first paragraph I print below, which is what I have been writing too here on my most humble blog.

While we are waiting for Pope Leo XIV to tip his hand and release his first encyclical, and make his first curial appointments, both sides in the struggle between tradition and modernism keep trying to claim him. The attempts by progressives to claim the Pope as their secret candidate (after the fact) are looking increasingly desperate, however. Specifically, attempts by the German bishops stand out as highly dubious.​
