Prevalence of sexual harassment and abuse in U.S. Olympic and Paralympic sports:
- A 2024 survey found that nearly 11% (10.9%) of athletes reported experiencing unwanted sexual contact or sexually explicit behaviors during their sports involvement.
- Over two in five (43.3%) of those unwanted experiences occurred while the athletes were minors.
- Coaches or assistant coaches were the most commonly reported perpetrators of non-consensual sexual touching.
- More than 3% (3.5%) of athletes reported experiencing rape or attempted rape during their sports involvement, with peers being the most common perpetrators.
- Athletes with disabilities were more likely to have been subjected to unwanted kissing and attempted or completed rape compared to athletes without disabilities.
- Athletes who identify as a sexuality other than heterosexual/straight were more likely to have experienced unwanted sexual touching.
But preventing ONE biological man competing in woman sports is the priority for today's conservative!
