We, as a nation, need to keep resisting the attempts by radicals to usurp the power of the presidency.
Well, to be fair, in this instance, they're not usurping anything...they're exercising constitutional authority.

I have no doubt that it has some political motivations, but what doesn't these days.

She didn't get the senate confirmation (thus the reason why she was an interim US Attorney instead of full-fledged).

Her tenure was marked with contentious decisions (and the fact that she used to be Trump's personal lawyer)

And Interim US District Attorneys are only guaranteed 120 days, at which point, it is up to the district judges whether or not to extend or replace with another Interim US DA.

And in fairness to the judges, their selection was Habba's #2, Desiree Grace... so it wasn't a complete "political hatchet job"...if so, they would've picked a leftist to replace Habba.

Desiree Grace has a lot of experience, and has worked for 3 different Trump nominees/appointees...and then Bondi decided to announce that Grace would be removed.

So it's the Trump admin playing politics on this one.

The reason why Habba's position wasn't "locked in" was because she couldn't get through the senate confirmation process. The judges actually picking her #2 as her replacement should actually be viewed as a olive branch, not a declaration of war. They could've just as easily picked a far-left DA to replace her if they wanted to.

To be fair we need to acknowledge there have been a number of rogue judges who have indeed tried to usurp the power of the presidency. So too the fact is that many Democrat political leaders have demonstrated they feel the law is for everyone else but themselves. Many Democrats are furious that Habba upheld the law and charged Democrat Representative McIver for obstructing Homeland Security.

There certainly have been, but I don't think that these judges were of that ilk.

The fact that some have been activist doesn't mean that every left-leaning judge's motives should be fought on the basis of "judicial activism"

Selective prosecutorial discretion has always been a hot-button issue.

However, in Habba's case, if during your entire tenure, the only cases you choose to take up are ones aimed at high profile political rivals (while ignoring the others), that's a problem

The only charges she opted to file were against the Democratic Governor, Democratic Mayors, and Democratic House Reps...and they were all stemming from encounters with Federal Immigration Officers.

I don't know if you're familiar with New Jersey... but if the top prosecutor in the state's only professional activity was pertaining to going after political rivals stemming from a kerfuffle outside of a Newark detention center (and nothing else) -- for the fact that they were opposing her former client's agenda... that seems like political hackery.

If they're the top prosecutor in the state that still has arguably the largest La Cosa Nostra presence (along with the other 11 organized crime groups that the FBI Newark office confirms are still operating at high capacity in the state), and they've spent all their time in the position trying to prosecute the Newark Mayor and the Governor for arguing with ICE agents at a detention center protest, that's clear cut evidence that their head's not in the right place for that job.

It's not politics to note that she's not a prosecutor and is not qualified for the role of US Attorney. Not to mention the way she has weaponized the DOJ for political purposes during her short interim tenure.
