"The database will reveal to ICE officials the names, addresses, birth dates, ethnic and racial information, as well as Social Security numbers for all people enrolled in Medicaid. The state and federally funded program provides health care coverage program for the poorest of people, including millions of children."

My suspicion is that eventually we will be forced to have a National ID card under the guise of preventing illegal immigration and for national Security. I hope I'm wrong, but everything is moving in that direction, and unfortunately many conservatives who are against "big government surveillance" are being duped because it's our current administration that's moving things in that direction.

While I can understand the fears, national ID cards are the norm in just about any country.
