I have a friend who recent had a baby. Her baby’s first name isn’t a Catholic name but her middle name is Katherine, spelled like that. I know there’s a St. Katharine Drexel, who I think spells it differently than Katherine. And there are other saints with the name spelled with a C instead of a K. Is Katherine spelled this way still a Catholic name? And do we still have to have a Catholic name to be baptized?
