I’m gonna break with what most are probably expecting and say that I hope the Vice President and his family had a wonderful time here in the communist wasteland of California. Despite our failing socialist government and policies and our violent illegal alien gangs terrorizing the people of this state, it was still a preferable vacation destination for VP Vance than the 49 other states he could have gone to visit. That’s a small point of pride for some of us Californians.

There's so many other things they could've also protested...

The fact that he landed at "John Wayne Airport" (I can't tell you how problematic that name is with all of the cowboys and Indians movies he made)
The fact that the motorcade was burning fossil fuels
The fact that there's a place that's charging $2500 for the most overrated food on the planet (sushi)
The fact that white people shouldn't even be allowed to eat Sushi, because that's cultural appropriation

The fact that some of the protestors weren't taking covid seriously and not even wearing a face covering (how rude -- they should protest the other protestors -- props to the purple-haired one in the no-Nazis shirt for making sure they don't spread covid)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't protests have some sort of point, like something they're either wanting to happen, or stop from happening? Unless it's the position of this group that "republicans shouldn't be allowed to come to the state of California" or "republican politicians shouldn't be allowed to go to theme parks", what exactly are they protesting here? (they do realize that "politicians I don't like shouldn't be able to come to my state" isn't a real thing right?)

The article mentioned that many of them drove hours and hours to protest there on a Friday afternoon...hmmm, I would think they'd have something else to do on a work day.

While not quite as cringe as the people who took off work to go do the electric slide with anti-Musk signs in front of a Tesla dealership, this one has to rank up there.

I'm was making a snarky comment about their face coverings that they're clearly using to conceal their identities.

Aww, did a public servant have to see the public he serves while out in public? Clearly some buffer zone legislation is needed!
I could use a good buffer zone from JD. I suggest at least 1 AU, just to be safe.

I’ve never been to California. I thought it would be somewhat diverse considering how large it is?

I dunno.

I realized that but masking for covid hasn’t been a thing even here in blue California even with the more liberal people living here for like… a few years now lol. Though it’s not exactly a bad idea now that ICE and DHS are using facial recognition technology on anyone protesting their abductions. Somehow masking for your own protection continues to be sound advice.

There's only one Disneyland, and Vance should be able to take his little kids there without the Left going bananas over it. At least this time they weren't throwing rocks, or laying down in front of traffic, or gluing themselves to things.

Did he not spend the whole day there without incident?

What is with this requirement that people have to like him too?

Also and as an aside, it’s great to see the conservative boycott of Woke Disney still going strong.

That doesn't change how weird it is that the Left goes bananas wherever Vance takes his kids. First when he takes his kids to sky resort, then when he takes his kids to Disneyland. What's it going to be next time?

No idea, but I’m sure one of you will be here to tell me all about it.

Heres your tuna melt, sir.
They do realize how many awesome steak dinners they could get for $2500?
(and that doesn't even require one to pretend that raw fish tastes good)

Maybe it tastes different by the time they get it to Cleveland?

Will protesting be productive?
I don’t understand.
It's a free country.

Among our first amendment rights are the right to free speech and the right to peaceably assemble, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

These people had grievances against the government and peaceably assembled to speak about them.

I understand that, but I find that a waste of time, in my opinion. Isn’t there a better way to address grievances?

My opinion only.
