They should bring back VHS's. It was easy to get around the ads, no internet required, and if you bought the tape, you owned it! None of this digital stuff where it can be revoked at any time for any reason.

They sadly wear out relatively quickly. Especially if they get watched over and over.

I can't imagine how horrible a VHS tape would look on a modern 4K television. The picture quality was poor to begin with. I know there was a short lived HD VHS format or at least it was experimental. Not sure if a 4K format is practical on the platform or not.

I’m surprised many of our family home tapes still worked after 30-35+ years.
I’m thankful for that.
My brother transferred it all to his new Mac so it’s all backed up.
