I saw some on steam, there were some RPGs that require you to enter the meaning for Japanese characters to do simple actions in battle. There was also a cafe type game where you select a location on the earth map and serve their order.
Some may have ported over to the platforms, but I don't know.

Most of these games are for the PC, on a platform known as Steam.
I do not really play video games, except at the $15 unlimited play arcade every once in a while, but a few of my friends play games, and most prefer Steam (PC) or one of the three major consoles (Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo). Steam has many more options, as pretty much everyone owns a computer, and ~900 million people play PC games.

I'd say, there should be at least two or three per console type, so people have freedom of choice. Not everyone enjoys shooter games, just as not everyone enjoys open-world games, or computer role-playing games.
If I did have a favorite style of game, it would be racing or open-world games.
