Yes, a "beautiful thing" with its odd capitalization, pathetic superlatives, and absurd trade policy that also, by virtue of being released on Truth Social, boosts his own net worth. How on earth is Cambodia, a small country with a per capita GDP 1/34 (2.93%) of ours going to even out their trade balance with us? Their main exports are cheap clothing. What are tariffs going to do other than make t-shirts and cheap sweaters more expensive? Shifting our supply chains to other countries likely won't help much, since Trump is levying similar tariffs on most everybody in the region and Americans aren't exactly lining up for low end manufacturing jobs.

Decades ago, I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor for first year undergraduate history students.
If a student presented work of this calibre, the procedure was to leave it uncorrected and kick it up to the professor. Usually, the result would be a failing grade with a comment like "Revise fully and see me". Alternatively, and perhaps more brutally, papers were sometimes returned without a grade or comment, but with the university's academic writing guide stapled to it.

If you are gloating that people are coming to you asking for a "deal", perhaps you should release the letters adressed at you and not the letters you are sending to them.

You are Kidding me. You might try to Support what the letter says (and again, you'd have to be kidding) but to DENY how atrociously it is written, defies Belief. And, the fact that no-one in the administration has the cojones, to tell him that official missives such as this need to be checked, for basic GRAMMAR, before being sent is Telling.

If a Cambodian company wants to manufacture there stuff in the US? Seriously? Are his staff all just that clueless? (OK, yeah, they probably are.) Do they not understand why most US companies would be doing business in SE Asia?

The letter is genuinely abysmal - especially for a diplomatic communication. I would say its an embarrassment to the country, but most Americans probly cant tell the difference.
Forum posts are another form of writing altogether.

Yeah, they "probly cant". But don't you see some humor when someone wants to be a grammar nazi and they make a grammatically abysmal post? Like that time the band Def Leppard criticized someone's spelling.
No, writing is writing. I understand we all make mistakes sometimes, but you should put a little effort in. (And yes, I realize I just ended a sentence with a preposition.)

I do see the humor when people here critique errors in other posts here while oblivious to their own.
And the leppard IS def, not deaf. Thats what it is.
Thats just not true. Look at my amusing yet pointed posts. Theyre generally terrific. But I would never write this way in a diplomatic or business letter.

I understand. In my previous post I used the word "yeah". I probably wouldn't do that in a more important bit of writing.
