Lawsuits have challenged the use of race in scholarships as well as a federal program designed to funnel tens of millions of dollars to colleges and universities with large percentages of Hispanic students.
The battle against DEI is now advancing to target the use of proxies for race—which might include geography or class—in order to boost diversity, said Scott Schneider, a higher-education attorney in Texas.
“This is the next wave,” Schneider said. Opponents of DEI are “saying if the intent is to circumvent the direct use of race, proxies are just as bad, that’s the novel issue that courts are wrestling with.”

It will be a constant battle, they keep trying to find ways to push Marxism and racism.

None of this says anything about UVa. What business of the President is it who runs UVa or any other university?
It was his peers at the university that pressured him into resigning, the choice was him or the money to the university.

Like I said before to these notions about those programs: LOL. Taking away someone's privilege is not "racism".

Not the Biden administration, not even close. There has been a big "white grievance" whinging about such programs since I was an undergrad and before that it was mandatory bussing and before that school desegregation.
Trump can and has told universities that federal money will be withheld if they continue such programs.
He can't. Even if these universities were discriminating illegally in some federally funded program, the federal government is only authorized by the laws enacted with each of those programs to suspend or cancel funding IN THOSE PROGRAMS. It doesn't matter if the UVa Law School has an illegal admissions program, Trump/Miller/Voght can't cancel the NIH grants to UVa for medical research, etc.

If you mean "Trump", than any general cancellation is not legal.

A violation has not been demonstrated.
The Supreme Court, through a decision, has already stopped their overt discrimination against Americans of Asian ancestry.

Trump leans conservative--conservative meaning "common sense." Although he seems to be of the policy to never let a thought go unsaid, on the border, on crime, and on a number of other issues he takes well-reasoned conservative stances.

Conservatives once championed small government, deregulation, and freedom. Today, however, many want government control over what private universities teach, how they teach, and whom they hire.

So much for advocating small government and personal freedom—then they criticize liberals for being controlling and call others "maxies." Maybe it's time to reflect on their own newly found ideology.

So too other liberal universities discriminated against Americans of Asian ancestry. It would be a terrible injustice to give research grants to universities that follow racist policies and/or unfair suppression of rights.

Harvard has violated the rights of students and potential students. What has been stressed in the MAGA movement is abolishing the two-tiered justice system in our country. No one should be above the law because they belong to a particular political party or discriminated against because they don't. This goes back to our founding document MAGAs believe in, that states "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." That means that ALL students have a right to attend classes without being threatened, and included in ALL are Jewish students. Nor should Americans of Asian ancestry be discriminated against for entry into our universities, they should be judged on merit rather than the color of their skin. Students should not be separated or discriminated against by race for any school function. No more of the Joe Biden stance that black children should not be bused to white schools. The United States government would be wrong to fund any entity, university or otherwise, that does not respect the rights of all.
