"You, the press, specifically you, the press corps, because you cheer against Trump so hard," he said. "It's like in your DNA and in your blood to cheer against Trump because you want him not to be successful so bad. You have to cheer against the efficacy of these strikes. You have to hope maybe they weren't effective."

Hegseth nailed it.

He sounded defensive and came across like a crybaby: Stop being mean to my big boss! All the press did was relate an early report, which he acknowledged exists and was not accurate. Grow up big boy.

He also told a Fox reporter, "You're about the worst." He's taking things personal. Very professional.

He always seems do emotionally out of control. Scary!
Trying to get the media to see their own bias often involves being brutally honest. When you are part of THE MOST persecuted administration ever, and often the media’s lies are directed towards you, personally, it is hard to be as unemotional as the person who is trying to destroy you.

What bias? Fox News gave the same report as other outlets. See, this is the problem, news outlets reported on what experts were saying along with an early report that was leaked, and the administration is upset they can't control the narrative. No one is trying to destroy anything. The news folks were doing their job, and God bless them all for it. Without them, we'd truly be left with nothing but political bias.

And if they had it their way they would also be controlling all economic data and news of any kind. I fear that day is coming.

There's no doubt they would, and there seems to be a large number of our fellow citizens who are helping to support such a move with their constant "fake news" mantra. Trump used that phrase the other day. He knows what he's doing, as most politicians do, so we have to be more discerning.

And there needs to be more willingness to engage in in-house critique on both sides. Hegseth's comment toward the Fox News reporter should be alarming for Republicans, and they should support her because she was doing her job, but no one wants to upset the administration. It's like everyone is scared, no backbone.

For those who are worried about biased media, read the article in the OP. There's not one mention of Hegseth unfairly berating one of Fox News' own reporters. Why is that? Why don't they defend one of their own? One possibility is they are more worried about placating the administration instead of being a politically independent news source.

At least one of their own (Brit Hume), came to her defense, but it's not a priority for Fox News Media.

There were no experts weighing in. It was someone in Congress who had not received any intel about it who leaked it. It was reported that the early report that was released was nothing more than someone looking at the same pictures that were released in the press that WE saw, and then making a biased assumption on them. How can you make any evaluation about something that took place miles underground from a satellite photo? But from there, all the biased “news” outlets did nothing but make up lies to base hostile reporting on.

It doesn't matter how he sounded. What matters is once again the mainstream press was caught going with unverified information, and it turns out once again false information, in order to try and discredit the Trump administration.

You mean Fox News? You realize Fox reported the same thing as your despised "mainstream press," right? Read your own thread. Or don't. But I'll save myself the annoyance of trying to reason with the unreasonable.

It’s not necessarily the reporting of something, it’s the incessant hateful narrative that accompanies it.
