Sounds phony to me. It's not well written. He wouldn't say "Donald."
A very unconvincing fake.
Unlike certain members posts - I provided a link.

Ungrammatical, sophomoric, written at less than a sixth grade reading level. How did he rise to a position of such prominence?
I need more proof. It still seems inauthentic.

Unbelievable.... but perhaps not. Anything that any public figure says putting President Trump in a good light, you appear to deny was actually said.

Perhaps these links you might find useful and helpful.

Do you really think hearing the words coming out of the man's own mouth is proof enough?!

They were useful. Trump posted tweets he received, which could have been altered, or invented.
Look at the phraseology. "In a big way. No one else dared to do."
Phrases that Trump uses in every speech he makes.

Stock, trite Trump language.
Do you now believe the NATO Secretary General sent that text message to President Donald Trump?

I guess he's happy with the message but this message clearly was written as having only Trump as an audience.

The naked flattery and weird language doesn't seem like a communication between two normal adults.

I don’t know about the Secretary-General, but I wish to congratulate President Trump for persuading NATO members to allocate 5% of their GDP. This will be beneficial for NATO and Europe, potentially increasing their self-reliance rather than depending heavily on the United States.

The Secretary General was speaking as an individual, not for NATO. The article clearly shows that each leader had individual opinions. I especially liked PM Carney's statement that any cease fire must also include a cease fire in Gaza.

As far as the 5% goes, in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Europe has much more skin in the game than the U.S. does. Ukraine is the last domino before Poland. If Trump convinced them to raise their contributions to NATO, it wasn't due to his negotiating skills. It was due to the February fiasco where Zelensky was told he had to give the U.S. rare earth minerals--worth far more than what Ukraine received--in return for help, and then in abandoning them, setting their defenses back for a period of time.

And so Europe knows that they can't count on American support in this game of deadly dominoes--and it is their distrust and fear that have led them to contribute more.

World leaders flock to meet with Trump at NATO Summit

Prime ministers and presidents appeared eager for an audience with the American leader.

President Donald Trump took part in a flurry of greetings with world leaders eager to get face time with the U.S. president during his brief stint at the NATO Summit.

Upon arriving, the president was welcomed by Dutch royals — King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and their daughter Crown Princess Amalia. He became the first president to stay at the king’s palace, Huis ten Bosch Palace.

"I had breakfast with the king and queen this morning — beautiful people," Trump said. "I slept beautifully."
The president said he left The Hague with fonder feelings toward the NATO alliance than when he'd arrived.
"I came here because it was something I’m supposed to be doing, but I left here a little bit differently," Trump said. "I left here saying that these people really love their countries. It’s not a ripoff. And we’re here to help them protect their country."

He participated in photo ops with world leaders from across the political spectrum — friend and foe alike — and received fawning praise from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who likened him to the father of the alliance.

"Daddy has to sometimes use strong language," Rutte said in defense of Trump’s expletive-laden criticism of Israel and Iran for threatening the ceasefire he negotiated.

The president was riding high amid warming relations with the alliance he previously threatened to pull out of. After months of combativeness with Europe over defense spending and liberal policies, Trump praised the alliance for agreeing to his demand to raise its defense spending target to 5% of GDP.
"Believe it or not, allies have increased spending by $700 billion," Trump said in a news conference. "This week, the NATO allies committed to dramatically increase their defense spending to that 5% of GDP, something that no one really thought possible."

Even Spain — the only nation not to agree to commit 5% to defense — got a relatively mild drubbing from the president.
"I like Spain. I have so many people from Spain. It's a great place, and they're great people. But Spain is … the only country out of all of the countries that refuses to pay. And, you know, so they want a little bit of a free ride," he said.

NATO leaders convening Wednesday in the Netherlands delivered President Donald Trump a major win by boosting their defense spending targets.

But comments he made while flying to the conference were raising fresh concerns about his commitment to the alliance’s core principal of collective defense.

The split dynamic — where leaders tailored their gathering to appeal to Trump, even as he questions the core provision of membership — made for a charged atmosphere as the conference was getting underway at The Hague.
Trump vowed to stand alongside fellow NATO nations a day after hedging in his support for the alliance’s Article 5 pact, which says an attack against one member is an attack against all.

“We’re with them all the way,” Trump said. “If you take a look at the numbers, we’re with them.”
He called a pledge to be agreed to Wednesday by NATO countries to increase their defense spending “very big news.”
“NATO is going to become very strong with us,” he sai
