A couple Sundays ago we discussed this is who God is. It can be easy to see the humanity of Christ’s work, but his humanity helps us see who the Father is. Jesus says ‘whoever sees me has seen the Father.’ He decided it was good for him to do his work. Not mankind or humanity. We can see God's work in creation, but we see him most in his work for us. He tabernacled w/ us & has made each of his children a tabernacleWhy did Christ, clothed in human flesh, come seeking His?
Not as a distant deity, but as a Bridegroom moved by mercy,
descending into dust, walking among thorns,
bearing wounds not His own, yet longing for the joy set before Him.
He came not for power, but for covenant.
Not to dominate, but to dwell with us.
To redeem what was lost, to restore what was torn,
to reclaim the heart of humanity with divine love.
Why did the sons of God come into the daughters of men?
A shadow of a deeper mystery, a corrupted echo of a sacred union.
They fell for beauty, but He rose for love.
They came to take, He came to give all.
Where they defiled, He sanctified.
Where they abandoned, He abided.
Where they birthed giants, He birthed grace.
Beholding the Lamb,
The One who came wrapped in flesh,
to heal the fracture between heaven and earth,
between longing and fulfillment,
between the fall and the rising again.
He came seeking me. He comes still.
Not as a stranger, but as my Beloved.
One came to birth sons of the Spirit. The others, sons of the flesh.
between what was corrupted and what was redeemed.
Between desire distorted and love divine.
I don't think it's me. It's Him. The Word. The Seed. My inheritance in Christ, His Holy Spirit flowing through me.Were you always a poet @GospelS or did you discover it?
Not yet. I plan to. I'm working on it.Do you keep your poems somewhere?
few of my beloved brothers in Christ on this forum, @( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), @Tone, @GTW27, @venksta, @SarahsKnight, @angelsaroundme, discovered it and nourished it. They inspire me and I love them dearly.
