I have no idea what that ostrich stuff is about, but you should address the post and not the poster.
This series of posts would not be continuing if one poster (you) would stop ignoring the obvious.
Anyway, I've seen many links which indicate the guy claimed to be Christian (which is true of most Americans)
Not "most", a majority (about 60-70%). He's some kind of Christian (talks too much about Jesus to be interesting), but I don't know which one, nor care that much.
and that he's opposed to abortion (which is almost true of most Americans, depending on which survey you read).
Nope. Around 60% of Americans favor access for early term abortion.
And this smacks of religious bigotry. If the perpetrator were Muslim, this thread wouldn't have made it past the first page.

I don't follow the "far right", if there is such a thing, so I don't know what it's views on Christianity or abortion are.
SMH. Good grief. The thrust of the discussion of the potential motives of this crime has been far more oriented toward politics than religion, though the religion-driven politics seems to be part of the reasons.

Now we’re saying that Christianity shouldn’t be involved in politics?
No I'm saying politics shouldn't be involved in Christianity (in its original form), even though Christianity re-joined itself with the Roman Empire 1700 years ago, thus giving the impression it should. Don't confuse Christianity with following the will of God. It diverted a long time ago back into the world of man.

To quote Aaron Burr (kind of): “And we both know what we know…”

But to actually say it requires either a level of courage, integrity, and self-reflection that’s not accessible to him at the moment. It’s symptomatic of this whole era right now that people in power rely on and prey upon, and the reason I’m spending my day watching TV as opposed to trying to convince scared people that you can face the truth and it will be ok.

Ah. I knew you’d rewrite history (on multiple fronts it seems) at some point. Go you.

Apparently you forgot who you were talking to. Except when I say it, you freak out on me for being anti-Christian, lol.

I think I agree with you with the caveat that distinguishing these things after 1700 years of history is difficult.

Trump won’t call ‘whacked out’ Walz after Minnesota shooter charged

President Donald Trump said he would not “waste time” calling Gov. Tim Walz after the weekend shootings.

“I think the governor of Minnesota is so whacked out, I’m not calling him. Why would I call him?” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on his way back from the G7 summit on Tuesday.

“He’s a mess. So I could be nice and call, but why waste time?” the president added.

Mr. President? Sir? It's what normal human beings do. Normal people. If someone is hurt or worse, if they have actually been gunned down, then normal people, the ones that have a conscience, who exhibit sympathy, who have empathy, who find within themselves some humanity, some connection to their fellow travellers in life...they'd call to offer condolences. They'd ask what they might be able to do to help.

Wouldn't there be some Christian on the forum who could post something along the lines of encouragement to the guy? To offer some hope that he could be a better person? I'm pretty sure that you could quote Jesus as an example that we should all strive to attain. Shouldn't you be asking Trump to at least make some effort?

Wisconsin governor Walker is not going to let Senator Lee get all the glory!

I saw that video and was gonna post it.

What kind of humanish person does not reach out and offer condolences?

I would point out that to Trump, showing empathy is a waste of time.

And people think he cares about THEM. It's so sad.

When politicians--or ordinary citizens--are shot, every American should be concerned and compassionate.

Much has been made of Boelter's membership on a Minnesota state workforce board. When I looked up info, it seemed as if it had many members from different walks of life.

Boelter had built a scattered career that included food companies, retailing and pastoring, according to public records and his online posts. He has been living with his wife in a rural area outside the Twin Cities, and staying a few nights a week at a rental home in a working-class Minneapolis neighborhood with a couple of roommates.

Boelter was working overnight shifts for an organization that handles eye donations, said one roommate, David Carlson, and was trying to get a security company off the ground.

The members of the advisory board weren't there because they were Democrats, or friends of the governor. They were there to help develop and maintain a robust workforce in Minnesota.

I wish that those people who are trying to reinvent Boelter as a Democrat (he wasn't)
and shift blame (they can't) would spend a little time keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill.

I'm sure Governor Walz didn't that want President Trump to waste his time with a nasty, barely coherent phone call, too. Nevertheless, as a representative of all Minnesotans, he would have accepted the call with his customary honesty, integrity, and grace.

Minnesota shooting suspect started as a frustrated idealist, his writings show

Before allegedly carrying out a "political assassination" on Saturday, Boelter was "clearly very religious, very passionate," and "devout, and sincere in his beliefs," said Charlie Kalech, CEO of the web design firm J-Town, commissioned by Boelter.

His fervent personality frothed with big, civic-minded ideas on how to "make the world a better place," Kalech said. In the professional relationship they had, Boelter was clearly "idealistic."

Most of those grand-scale projects never came to fruition, and the last time Kalech said he had contact with Boelter was May 2022.

Kalech recalled that Boelter chose his firm for the work because they are Jerusalem-based, and he wanted to support Israel.

[From Boelter's 2017 PowerPoint on 'Revoformation' - a book and the name of his ministry]

"I am very concerned that the leadership in the U.S. is slowly turning against Israel because we are losing our Judaic / Christian foundations that was [sic] once very strong," the presentation said. "I believe that if the Christians are united and the people who are leading this Revoformation are a blessing to Israel that it will be good for both Israel and the U.S."
