CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Agreed, they are both doing the Nazi thing.
Only one of us was denying it, and making up lame excuses for it, though.
I think Senator Booker should have known better and should maybe apologize for anyone his gesture might have offended or scared. These kinds of things are nothing to joke or play with.
See how easy that was? Why couldn’t y’all just say something like that when it was your guy throwing up the Nazi salutes? Then we could all condemn nazism together.

Kanye West has sported an actual giant swastika on a tee shirt and said many hateful antisemitic remarks. He’s also just crazy and says crazy things just to stay relevant. He’s also faced backlash and lost out on lucrative deals and contracts and has been somewhat blacklisted from Hollywood because of his remarks.
Not a very good example, really.
