CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Humans to Mars is possible, but not anytime soon and not with this spacecraft. I had some hope a decade ago, but Musk is too much the snake-oil vaperware salesman. I don't think this thing can even make it to a Moon landing as it is contracted to do. I wish this wasn't the case.

I want to know how the Democrats were able to set up a child sex slave colony on Mars in 2017 but now we can't seem to get there. It was in all the news as reported by the best in real conservative journalism.

It was never a Starship as it would not travel to a star.
It had qualified (at the Katy Perry level) as a "space ship" having crossed the Karman line.
"Sub-orbitalShip" will now need to be downgraded to "SurfaceShip" since that's where it does its explodin' now.

Not necessarily. It could have been an attitude sensor ("gyroscope") failure, or failure in the circuitry from the sensor to the on-board computer. A software fault would be a design flaw. Worse yet, a lack of an adequate dynamics model of the rocket could have led to correct software programming of the wrong equations.
