It seems so hypocritical for a leader to refuse to listen to the South African people and do his own "research?" on white South Africans--claiming it is more accurate than the real experience of real South Africans---while he presides over massive human rights violations with his immigrant purge.

There's nothing shameful about confronting evil and asking for positive change.
There is something shameful about inviting evil and using it to put political pressure on a foreign head of state.

Huh? Trump is calling him out as the president of his nation so that, hopefully, they will enact positive change. What's the issue with that?

The South African President graciously requested President Trump to listen to the voices of South Africans, including those within the South African delegation who spoke in the White House. Trump did not listen to them. Instead, he played video of extremist speaking from a small minority S. African party. The South African President and delegation patiently explained who they were and why their views were not those of the S. African government in power. Trump refused to listen.

Watch the entire exchange here:

The President's claim of genocide is a bald-faced lie.

In a stadium PACKED with people cheering WILDLY for the murder of white people. I can only surmise that you did not watch that video. That anybody would object to Trump calling for the end of this type of conduct is baffling to me. Perhaps seething hatred of Trump is the reason.

He lacks the moral authority to berate the president of South Africa because he has legal American residents locked in Salvadoran Gulags. Citizens are getting picked up all the time. There is no due process in place and he is violating the Constitution. He actively encourages and promotes hate with every word he says. Characterizing all Venezuelans, for example, as thugs and murderers incites blind, prejudice and hatred against all Venezuelans (or people who might "look" like Venezuelans.)

Trump lacks "moral standing" to publicly object to humanitarian crimes? Do you want Trump to remain silent about such things?
I want him to stop committing humanitarian crimes here!

You are the target audience for that stunt.

This thread isn't about me, it's about President Trump confronting the president of South Africa about what is happening to white farmers in his country.

And he called on South African's to be arressted imediately for expressing their views. However abhorrent those views are, there is a principle known as free speech. America championed it at one point. Now, we have the S. African President reminding the American President of those rights....

Yes, and Trump only told one part of the story. He refused to listen to the South African delegation.
He knows what he's doing. Play a video clip and 90% of his supporters will assume white farmers are being killed across S. Africa...he even uses the word genocide to describe it. That is a lie.l
