Excusing Anti-Trump Rhetoric Will Have Terrible Ramifications

Democrats’ deliberately incendiary rhetoric singles out, demonizes, and dehumanizes Trump as someone who must be eliminated.

I am just waiting for after the next failed assassination attempt where liberals on one side of their face speak about unity and civility, while on the other side they are cursing the guy for missing his opportunity.

If only Trump didn't dehumanize everyone else. Living in a universe where his sole concern is himself, he scours the news laser focusing on any potential criticism, whether it is from a celebrity like Bruce Springsteen, the ladies of The View, or the esteemed Generals in the military, some of whom had served in his cabinet. Or perhaps it is Pulitzer prize winners in the media or esteemed historians. One criticism brings out a barrage of bile and venom from him. Normal people know this is not normal. The kindest thing we can say is that it is aberrant behavior and put it down to poor up bringing or emotional abandonment.
Since he never received any treatment for his ear except from an alcoholic doctor turned congressman, it is hard for most of us to even believe that the assassination attempt was not a setup. Under normal circumstances a president would go to a hospital and be evaluated thoroughly with CAT scans of his head and brain, stitches, antibiotics, etc. He acts suspiciously and then wonders why people are suspicious.

Well, not everyone else. If you grovel well enough you are a very fine person.

But this issue of "dehumanizing" has to be dealt with. Sometimes we do it in a subtle way. "Liberals", "Conservatives", etc. But, of course it gets much worse.

The only "violence" being done is to the innocent people caught in the immigration dragnet, the constitution and the country by this administration. Criticizing a fascist for being a fascist is not "violent rhetoric", which I note was added to the title by the OP and not in the title of the linked article.

Yes. Faking the assassination attempt was all part of our nefarious plan for world domination. We recruited a kid and trained him to be the greatest marksman the world has ever seen for the sole purpose of clipping Trump's ear. By the way, the Secret Service, and the photographer who took the iconic photo, were in on it too.
