  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just anything. I think chatting about anything fosters a more communal spirit within OBOB.

For instance, I have an upcoming surgery I’d like prayer for. It’s Wednesday. I’m anxious about it.

Also would like prayers for my niece that is going through chemo right now.

Started planting my veggie gardens but we are experiencing a cool down today so I need to keep an eye on that.

Will your surgery require that you spend time overnite in the hospital or will it be done outpatient, after which you'll be sent home?

Outpatient if all goes well. This will be my third for the kidneys.

He does not know yet. I got pneumonia in February and they spotted other things on the initial cat scan. Which is what got all this started. Got another scan and one of my kidneys was wasting away from being blocked I’ll have a post op x-ray and appointment the end of the month. Still need to get an MRI for a cyst on my adrenal gland, etc. Ready for all this to be over with so I can return to some normalcy.

Medical issues can be so upsetting to ones life, but it's a very good thing they spotted the issues. I hope your life returns to normal soon. (Normal = Good. :blush:)

I can't really chat right now but the one good thing about this list is that it helps remind me of who is still on OBOB after all these years. I had been truly wondering. It felt like only two or three.
