  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It seems the checks already in place did their job and found this embezzlement scheme without the need for DOGE.

Just like it would take years to give certain criminals due process, it would take years to go through the DOGE data and the My Pillow evidence of 2020 election fraud. It's better if you just trust the experts and take their word.

The CDC, NIH, FDA and EPA are not corruption and waste. We will become a markedly sicker nation. Does Trump not care because the ones who die will only be "losers" like the pesky poor and disabled?

DOGE selectively targeted programs and contracts with descriptions they thought would spark outrage with the Trump crowd and then set those up for defunding without regard to the actual impact.

also needs to point out that DOGE is costing the US far more then it's saving, due to lawsuits, rehirings, loss of revenue, and benefits from the stuff they are cutting, on the other hand, it's showing elon musks corruption by targetting stuff that angered him.

If your pest control guy came in and said he's fighting bugs and proceeded to set your house on fire, would you just let him do it? Would you question his methods? Suggest more practical, procedural courses of treatment? Would he call you out for being against fighting bugs when you did?
