MANY are working THE (definite article) iniquity….the church handwriting of ordinances/dogmas. They are going down the broad way to their destruction.
Mat 7:21-23
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
They are using their handwriting to judge others….casting out others as “devils”.
Supposedly in the name of God…His authority…they are judging others according to their own standards…their church handwritings….their many “wonderful works.” They sit in the temple of God as God…as judges supposedly for God.
(22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
They work THE (definite article) iniquity (their handwriting being used as a basis for judging others)…and MANY are going the broad way to their own destruction of their mortal bodies. We show we know Him by the doing of His commandments....not by doing the commandments of men that are contained in their church documents that they made for themselves to keep and work. No flesh is being saved among the man-based churches.
(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work (THE) iniquity.
The keeping and working of the church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas over God’s commandments which are written upon our hearts and minds is lawlessness.
The mystery of THE iniquity (the handwriting) is already at work. The church handwriting is not being seen as the iniquity. It is not being identified as another "god"....an "image"...a graven image. No one in the churches of fleshly-minded men are seeing that their handwritings are the iniquity. It's a "mystery"...the shutting of the mouth ...to them.
It brings desolation to the church that is centered around it’s handwriting. The glory of God has departed from it. We find no peace there. We find the famine of hearing the Word of God in truth there. We find mortal death there.
But our Lord shall deliver the righteous out of the man-based churches…like He did with Lot. The righteous will hear the Word of Truth and believe.
“Lot” means “veil” or “covered”. The righteous must be removed from the man-based churches so that the wicked are the only ones left in them. God will not destroy the righteous with the wicked. They must be completely removed first leaving only the wicked behind in the man-based churches who will then be punished in the day of Christ…the day of judgment.
2Th 2:5-8 KJV
(5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
(6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
Just as Lot was removed before the destruction of Sodom, the righteous must be completely removed from all of the man-based churches. The “cover” must be removed so that the wicked are completely revealed and then dealt with by our Lord.
He who letteth will let until he be taken out of the way.
Remember how Lot “lingered” around in Sodom and had to be taken by the hand ….being mercifully removed. There will be people who will believe in the Word of Truth when they hear it but will continue to “linger” around in their man-based churches…for whatever reason.
But God in His mercy shall remove them before the day of judgment.
(7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Lot LINGERED….he did “let”….until he was taken out of the way.
Gen 19:15-17 KJV
(15) And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
(16) And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
(17) And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
For God knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. These temptations will come to those who linger around in the man-based churches as the wicked in them will “vex” them for believing in the Word of Truth. They will be tempted to return evil for their evil words and deeds.

(6) And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
(7) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
The righteous who will continue to “linger” in the man-based churches….dwelling among them… will be vexed in their souls with the unlawful deeds that will be done towards them for their believing. They will be tempted to return evil for their evil….but God in His mercy shall remove them. He who letteth will let until he be taken out of the way.
(8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
When the righteous are completely removed out of the man-based churches (the “cover” is removed), then the wicked shall be left all together in the man-based churches and will be punished in the day of judgment….the day of Christ.

The wicked will not receive the love of the Truth when they will hear it and be saved. They will take pleasure in their unrighteousness while they speak and do evil towards those who will hear and believe in the Word of Truth. The believers of the Truth will not return evil for their evil.
(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
