Trump, in his social media post, said the country can’t be held hostage by “criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals, who came into our Country illegally.”
The Republican has railed against federal judges who have slowed his effort to boot alleged gangbangers and ship them off to the infamous El Salvador megaprison.
Just last Thursday, District Judge Fernando Rodriguez – who was appointed by Trump – blocked the US government from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport suspected members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
Trump also ordered the FBI, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to help get Alcatraz reopened.

If these judges are still going to delay the deportation of the process we need prisons like Alcatraz to hold violent criminals.

These felons are his peer group...he is 34 times convicted. When he's slinging around hateful epithets he needs to remember he's one of them.

As Trump posted on Truth Social:

"When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm. That’s the way it’s supposed to be."

And how much is this going to cost? It hasn't been in use as a prison since 1963 and is currently set up as a tourist attraction. Incidentally, it also generates millions of dollars per year in revenue for the National Park Service. Will anything be done to address this loss?

Some Democrats are trying to seize control of the presidency through judicial activism and violent acts, this has caused delays in deportations. Perhaps a special tax on them.

I don't think we need to waste money rehabbing a broken down Alcatraz prison . So Trump will be amused, when there are plenty of prison to lock bad people, including Trump. I think Trump and rightwing news over exaggerates.

It's not going to cost anything. Because it's not going to happen. It's just Trump shooting off again about some fantasy he had. Someone will eventually tell him how many tens of millions it will cost, plus the fact that it's only built for about 300 inmates and nobody will mention it again. Just like nobody is mentioning Guantanamo.

To give you an idea of how much it would cost, the National Park Service has already contracted to do some basic running repairs just to keep the place safe for tourists. And the bill for that is $50 million: Alcatraz is getting a $50 million makeover

And just that is going to take three years. So add to that the time and cost of upgrading all the cells, all the services, all the accommodation, all the surveillance, all the necessary infrastructure...

It just gets people all excited about 'doing something'. People who never ask why these incredibly dangerous people are going to be kept in San Francisco instead of being deported. Any idea where they're going to be held for the next 3 or 4 years while it's being refurbished at the cost of quite a few million dollars per inmate? Nah, of course not.

I don't think this is going to happen. But it does address the problem of where to house these illegal criminals while these judges continue their resistance campaign.

It never was a realistic option. Just another of Trump's fantasies. He brought it up so his supporters who didn't bother thinking it through would have something to cheer about. Bread and circuses...

Gen Mille also stated that he would leak information to China if Trump was planning to attack. Such treasonous statements demonstrate his political ideology being priority over duty.
No, he most definitely not do that. What he confirmed to the Chinese was firstly there was no intent by the president to attack China and that secondly in any escalation there would be calls between senior officials of both countries. And that he would obviously be one of those officials. At no time did he say or even suggest that he would leak details. Whoever told you that was either very badly informed or was lying to you. So you can correct that post as soon as you like.

“As part of the conversation, I said, Gen. Li, there’s not going to be a war. There’s not going to be an attack between great powers, and if it was, the tensions would build up, there would be calls going back and forth from all kinds of senior officials,” the general said.

”I said, hell, I’ll call you.
But we’re not going to attack you. Trust me, we’re not going to attack you. These are two great powers, and I am doing my best to transmit the president’s intent, President Trump’s intent to ensure the incident doesn’t escalate,” Milley continued.

The same Alcatraz that was shut down in the sixties due to the exorbitant costs of operating it?
But it is famous! As prisons go, it is a celebrity. It's starred in movies and has been featured in tv shows. Of course Trump would like it to be a showpiece for his illustrious administration.
