  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

America First Legal Foundation accused the Biden campaign and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of violating election laws.

In a 4-0 decision, the commissioners rejected America First Legal Foundation’s claim that President Joe Biden, while still running for reelection, had illegally “looked to lawfare to destroy” Trump. The commissioners also rejected the group’s allegation that Bragg pursued a “politically motivated prosecution against Trump” that constituted an “excessive” campaign contribution and expenditure, according to a case file released Thursday.

Will the FEC be purged of enemy sympathizers now? Oh, I see...
In one of its final acts before a de facto shutdown, the bipartisan Federal Election Commission unanimously dismissed a complaint by a pro-Donald Trump legal group that accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and the Biden-Harris presidential campaign of violating election laws.

The FEC no longer has a quorum - four out of six. A certain someone needs to nominate new commissioners.

The Federal Election Commission has largely ground to a halt after losing its quorum following the departure of Republican Commissioner Allen Dickerson.
The six-member commission is now down to just three as Dickerson’s term expired after a Wednesday meeting, and no replacement has been appointed. A quorum of four is needed for the agency to conduct most business, including holding meetings, making new rules, issuing guidance, voting on investigations, conducting audits, and fining violators of election laws. It will still be able to accept and publish campaign finance disclosure reports.
In addition to Dickerson’s departure, Republican Commissioner Sean Cooksey resigned in January, and Democratic Commissioner Ellen Weintraub was fired by President Donald Trump in February. She is currently waging a legal battle to keep her position, but hasn’t attended any meetings since.

I couldn't read the article because it was behind a paywall and I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Is what you posted the same as this:
"America First Legal Foundation accused the Biden campaign and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of violating election laws."

If you click on the 2nd link of the OP ("In a 4-0 decision,..."), you can read the actual decision which is not pay walled.

The first part of what I posted was from the same article as the OP which is why I didn't relink it. I was curious if this ruling against Donald would mean retaliation, so I googled "fec quorum" which I used in the second part.

The FEC was only needed when we had elections.
