  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ukraine will retain full control over its national resources and state-owned enterprises will remain state property, the country said in an outline of the agreement.

The U.S. will contribute to the fund through direct payments or through new military assistance, according to the outline. Ukraine will contribute 50% of future revenue with royalties from newly issued licenses for critical minerals, oil and gas exploration.

Kyiv wanted to ensure the deal did not factor in past U.S. military aid, which Ukraine said Wednesday was included in the deal.
“The agreement focuses on future, not past, U.S. military assistance,” a Ukrainian fact sheet said.

This whole agreement feels like it has been built with no foundation. Additionally, there are glaring holes in the agreement starting with the legality of two leaders signing a treaty with no congressional oversight, the cost of these licenses, does it encompass the entire country, what about the land owners, etc., etc..
