Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess the question is did Pres. Trump order his sons to fire the lawyer from Harvard (because he was from Harvard and Trump now has a vendetta) or did he simply, offhandedly suggest to his offspring that Harvard lawyers should be fired? The president in his second term has actively shilled for products and venues that he owns and profits from.

Honestly, and I am not being facetious when I say this. What is or isn't legal or ethical is of no consideration with the Trump admin.

That's an interesting point, but the Trump administration is really supposed to be distinct from Trump Organization. Would the US president be justified in ordering any company to fire its lawyer because that lawyer represented a plaintiff against the US administration? The Trump Organization should get more hands-off not less from Senior Don.

But is this instruction legal or ethical considering that the suit is against the government not the organization? Trump is supposed to not know what the management of the org is or isn't doing. He certainly isn't supposed to be actively managing it.

We tore up "blind trust" ethical protections in Trump 1.0.

Trump 2.0 has nary a fig leaf of such protections. So as others have noted, ethics are no longer relevant. That guy from CREW will presumably wag his finger, but we've seen how much good that does.

And as the head of a company, I'm sure he or his son-agents or the Company can legally fire an at-will attorney for any reason or no reason.

Maybe you should read the playbook, Agenda 2025 .It highlights significant discussions about "restoring" a "traditional model" to universities. Historically, traditional models of higher education in the United States were often not inclusive and largely privileged white, heterosexual men from certain socioeconomic levels.The intent is to roll back some of the hard-won progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion. What one person considers a desirable "traditional model" might be viewed by others as a return to an exclusionary
