  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Will the Anti-Christ ban the Bible ?

Where is the Anti-Christ mentioned in Revelation?

The Book of Revelation does refer to a figure often interpreted as the Antichrist, specifically the "Beast from the sea" in Revelation 13. This beast is described as a powerful entity that deceives the world, demands worship, and performs great signs.

I know what it says about the Beast - that's not the Antichrist, though.

I'm not arguing, it's not my problem if you can't see who the beast is.
The point I'm trying to make is that Christians - especially on here - often talk about the Antichrist.
That word is not found in Revelation - which is ironic because some of those same people insist that they believe every word of Scripture as written. "Antichrist" is only mentioned a couple of times in Scripture, in 1 John 2:18,22. Here, John he tells us that the Antichrist is anyone who denies that Jesus came in the flesh. There was a cult around at the time which said that Jesus was only God, did not feel pain, did not really die for us and so on.

So, naturally, when you wrote about the "Antichrist of Revelation", I wanted to know who you meant. It seems that what you meant was, "the beast of Revelation, who is usually interpreted as the Antichrist."
If you who believe every word of Scripture believe that the Beast means the AntiChrist; fine. That's not what is says - but I guess you're allowed to break your own rules if you want to.

By the way, I'm not arguing either. I came into this thread to make that point alone. And, before you ask, I would have made it if asked by another forummer - and indeed have done so.

Carry on discussing.

The term "Antichrist" is not in Revelation. The person who will become the Antichrist and eventually the beast-king is.

I agree that the wide spread usage of the term Antichrist in a broad sense is incorrect and misleading.

It is more accurate to refer to the person various descriptions, such as, the little horn, the prince that shall come, the Antichrist, the revealed man of sin, the beast-king - depending on the timing and function.

If so by what means ? IMO he will ban the Bible through Woke & Gender pronouns.

What do you guys think ?
The Bible is already banned in many places in the world, and people are being tortured and murdered for merely possessing it, or even discussing it.

I think that if a person is willing to die for it, it shouldn't matter if it's banned.
