  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, please the excuse media for actually sticking a mic or phone recorder in the faces of people as they describe their desire to cut entitlements.
Do you work for a media network?

What I may or may not do for a living is kind of irrelevant to the reality that come statements of cutting entitlements, those making those statements have no problem being quoted by the media.

Moderate Republicans draw red line on Medicaid cuts in Trump agenda bill

""Vulnerable and moderate House Republicans are warning House GOP leaders that they will not support the “one big, beautiful bill” encompassing President Trump’s legislative agenda if it includes cuts to Medicaid benefits.
Twelve House Republicans in competitive districts — more than enough in the House GOP’s razor-thin majority to keep the bill from passing — sent a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), and Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.) on Monday articulating that red line.""
Don't believe the lie that the GOP are not targeting entitlement programs and it's just the media making things up.

First, if you are going to quote from an article, you should actually link to the article.

Second, how is an article noting that Republicans are saying they won't cut Medicaid evidence of Republicans wanting to cut Medicaid?

What those Republicans are doing by taking exception to cuts, is acknowledging that is in fact what the party wants to do.
They just apparently don't.

Except it isn't any acknowledgment. It's merely a warning not to.

The American people did not agree with Biden administration's immigration policy, leading them to vote against the Democratic Party.

None of that constitutes a violation by the Biden administration.

You can share your opinions about the Biden administration's actions regarding the constitution, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are factual.
Also Kamala's work south of the border helped reduce migration from the source countries. They were getting on top of it - without all the violations of privacy and even law occuring now. I'm thinking of that Canadian business woman detained for 2 weeks without legal representation. She did nothing wrong - there was some paper work glitch she was told to visit the states to fix!!! Detained without anyone explaining what was happening, where they were taking her, WHY they were taking her.

At the end she was released without apology or recompense. Her conclusion? This was a private firm. It's the profit motive at work, where the more people they detain at the airport - the better.

Isn't America the land where free speech and privacy are enshrined as rights? When white Aussie business men have to unlock and hand over their phones for half an hour, wondering if they are suddenly going to be randomly detained and end up shanked on some weird wire fenced in warehouse cell - it's time to ask what on earth is going on! Or when Harvard is under attack for trying to explore all ideas.

America - the land of the free
